No trucks here now they all seem to be heading to turkey etc ...just a few small vans and a couple of motorhomes here now.

A winch may well be on the cards ...i already planned to fit all terrain tyres to it

all terrain tyres will dig a bigger hole quicker on soft sand

Out on our walk this morning its almost eery and a little sad to see this place so quiet....it was bustling in november you couldn't walk 10 feet without a conversation with someone ....but its also weird how much has changed in 3 months ..the wrecked boat on the beach that was above the sand is now almost completely burried ...theres vast areas with no one parked ...the area i was parked in with the french is now deserted ...the odd van scattered here and there

Interesting about the ship - has it sunk into the sand, surely the beach hasn't risen... or simply rotted & washed away...

I thought you like peace & quiet?
Or is it a bit too peaceful & too quiet.
Maybe some rowdies will rock up soon.

No idea i was looking for pics i took of it back in November but this is the only one i have as i have been cleaning up my storage.

But you can see its now mostly burried.


I do like peace and quiet but it just seems really quiet at the minute ....the only sounds are insects and the occasional car driving past ....its just such a contrast to how it was before.

this is one that dave and Marsha sent me of it back in march 2020 when they were here

Strange thing is i noticed at the last place gialova that the sunken wreck there that you couldn't see from the beach back in november and i could only see with the drone from above after someone on here telling me it was there

is now sticking out the water at least a foot .

I liked the van with sand ladders on the side on a folding bracket so they could be used as a table

When we were house /ground sitting in France for 3 winters, we walk on a beach at Carteret and that beach would completely change about 3 or 4 tine in the 3 month period.

I said boat lol its only a wee yacht ...it was someone else that called it a ship.

The one at githio was a cargo ship and the one at gialova was a decent size probably a fishing boat but this one is pretty small really ...its just amazing how much has dissapeared in 3 months

I think picture number 3 is quite ghostly- like the spirit of the boat is making a last desperate attempt to get back out to sea.

we visited the camargue once in may and once in october place where we parked the first time was 6 ft under the surface the second time

Afraid not yet.
I had an injection into it and am ow waiting until near the end of the. month for another check to see if it is improving and/or what happens next.
I tbink my sight is marginally less blurred today- so fingers crossed that it's slowly improving. Thanks for asking

Someone i follow on Instagram posted a pic of a van interior with a cool soundtrack .....turned out to be a very cool band and the lead singer is a vandweller living in this very cool sprinter

That made me go check them out on youtube and i really like their music



The camper is awesome but if you like modern day tunes check them out

Yes, I noticed that too. I was quite impressed with the layout and fittings until I saw the induction hob. It would be about as much use as a chocolate teapot to me.
