When downsizing from our previous motorhome, we wanted to ensure that we were dealing with great people. Our previous dealer, Pullingers, had been great but they didn’t have the van we wanted. In the end we bought from Harbour Creek in Hayling Island and I have to say, they were a pleasure to deal with. Accessories were agreed upon and fitted and although there were small snags, these were easily rectified. The whole team were welcoming and friendly and emails were dealt with promptly. You can buy from them without any concerns.

What a great team. I didn’t purchase my MH from Pullingers, but it had been supplied by them to the original owner. I had been recommended by so many people (including the Dethleffs club) to use them for the habitation service and warranty work and was not disappointed. Booking was simple but the magic began on arrival. A warm welcome and an honest walk around with me looking through my faults list. Nothing appeared too much trouble and that’s exactly how the resulting service was completed. On time and with a walk around of the issues and rectification applied. I was also given a demo of some features and functions on my MH which hadn’t been made clear to me when purchased. Well priced Habitation check too.

In short, a family run team (in both sales and service) who care about your initial and repeat business. That was clear to see. Use this business with complete confidence.

We had the E&P system fitted to our Carthago in February 2018.
Saw and purchased a new Motorhome a day after Peterborough show this year, SAP thankfully took it off our old Motorhome and transferred it to Betty when we picked her up in June along with a tracker and alarm system.
Took her back last week and had full air suspension, satellite, and a few bits and bobs done.
Can highly recommend Mick and his team for anything Motorhome related, professional and thorough with great workmanship

Switched to them a couple of months back when existing broker messed up details on change of vehicle for second time. NFU quote was cheaper and offered better cover. I have subsequently uprated weight and they took details but no extra charge :)

Total disgrace. Have already posted a negative on this company would not touch with a barge pole. Rang for a quote on a van upgrade, recieved an increase I was happy with then rung again to change of vehicle same model just more costly they specified a tracker to be fitted which I was doing anyway. They said would pass on to specialist team who would get back to me 3/4 days later after me ringing them numerous times still no response. I was then forced to insure with another company at a cost of £426. I was only part way through my term with c/n at a cost of £400+. 20 days later still without any response I was sent an apology letter with a cheque for £30. Spoke to them today and they state because those letter has been sent the the matter is now closed and stated that because they were an incoming call centre they were not able to call back even though there agent SAM said they would be in touch. The young lady from complaints could not provide me with any call back details because they had shut the case. No missed calls on both my contact numbers no email nothing. They also stated today that they were having problems with phone contact for cancellations and would give me another number to ring. !!!!! Too late had to put the phone down totally lost the plot by now. The biggest load of tosh I have ever listened to. The are a bloody disgrace

Great service while at their Wellingborough unit for a fluid change and general checkup. A few minor problems resolved at no extra cost. Nice waiting area in the staff canteen with complimentary refreshments and WiFi.

We bought our Carthago from GMC very happy with the sales side we got a very good deal the handover was not so good they scuffed the paintwork on the back of the van and it had a stone chip on the front they did repair these.

Aftersales very poor they don't reply to emails or phone calls and when you turn up at the workshop its pot luck trying to find somewhere to park.

We gave up trying to get the warranty work done , Im not even sure they odered the parts we needed ended up switching to another Carthago dealer.

Went to view a Le Voyageur after seeing one at the Peterborough show that was for sale with a different dealer and signed a deal there and then.
As they are close to home, it will be easier to get to for any after sales work, apart from when saints are playing!
Mike the salesman we dealt with was straight talking and down to earth.
We picked her up on the 5th June and Andrew took us through the last bits of paperwork. Andrew was thorough and again down to earth.
Communication has been excellent to date

Bought used Hymer from them October 2018. Good price for our trade-in. Very pleased with handover, all staff very friendly and helpful. After sales has been excellent, fridge required new mains element and cooling unit. Efficient service with good communications and once again very friendly staff.

Just had air assist fitted to my motor home by the above company and even though I landed there a day early oops Phill the owner still managed to fit me in and do as always a really good and professional job . I would recommend them to anyone and range of services they do seems to grow by the day .

Great service & price. " No Bull ". The alarm & tracker works brilliantly.
We reported a fault on the tracker, which was fixed very quickly.
I would recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable security system.

I ordered my pack two and with some trepidation proceeded to drill a hole in the roof of the motorhome I had just spent around £90,000.00 on. The roof aerial has the best possible seal (3M), The installation was painless, everything worked as it should, we bought this package so as to be in touch at home and abroad (we run a business of holiday cottages so need to be in touch at all times). The result? Fantastic, pitch where you like open the laptop, field emails, surf the internet, just pretend you are at home, cannot believe just how good this product is, no more wandering down to reception and hoping no one is looking over your shoulder,.

Can't speak highly enough for all staff at Vanbitz.

From initial contact, responding to email queries, contacting my insurer directly to confirm spec of system and ensure it was added to their approved list, juggling appointment book at short notice to fit in our install and the actual fit and handover of the systems was faultless.

Had full system of alarm, tracker and non start installed, not cheap but in relation to the value of the initial purchase relatively small beer.

Certainly left me with a more confident feel that if we lose it now it will be to a serious and planned theft and not to an opportune passer by.

Tried to negotiate with SMC to buy a motorhome. More than one salesman consistently failed to return my calls.

I get the impression that, being the only Frankia dealer in the UK, they couldn't care less about customer service and professionalism. Well, there are plenty more good quality brands available in the UK, so after 3 weeks or more of trying to get answers from them, I give up. I'll go and spend my money elsewhere.

(PS, Handover rating isn't applicable as they didn't seem to want to sell a motorhome, but it won't let me enter no rating).

At times when we hear so much negativity when talking about dealers and service providers, my experience today could not have been better

From the first phone contact back in March when I booked a visit, they are (or were) booked up 6 weeks in advance, but well worth the wait if only for a service, I suspect they would drop other work if breakdown or warranty work is needed

They are a delight to deal with, polite and professional all the way through

Our fluids were changed and on investigation of a noisy pump they immediately identified a non Alde pump had been fitted, possibly by Hymer from new, or by the supplying dealer or previous owner, an impellor pump compared to what they fit and I can't now recall what type he said, but it is silent

They explained everything very well including the new touch screen controller which I had acquired and they fitted effectively for free

Top marks all round, I would suggest overnighting so they can start early, avoids issues if work over runs (as mine did :whistle:) a caravan had to wait for mine to be finished

Security has ben upped, locked barrier which they give code for when you arrive by ringing the service manager if arriving out of hours

Worst dealer I ever dealt with they refused to repair warranty claims on our new Auto Sleeper, saying Auto Sleeper did not pay enough for warranty repairs.

I had to take our van down to Auto Sleeper factory on numerous occasions to be repaired.

Have been with them since we started motorhoming back in 2003. Have found them efficient and approachable and were there when we needed them after burning our brakes in Austria when they liaised between ourselves and the local Recovery agent. They were also amenable to a renegotiation of our annual premium one year, when we contacted them with some relevant changes in circumstances. This year, they despatched our requested Green Card to an overseas address by return. Possibly not the cheapest but with service like this, I will not risk any other.

We bought one of these 4 years ago a 5 pole version so easy to use and very robust it will be the last wind break you will buy the only thing I carry is a spare coach bolt as they can snap after some heavy use with the hammer.
Very impressed with the service and the windbreak. We placed our order for two 5 metre windbreaks with a door last Tuesday. We received it on Thursday and took it with us on Friday to Dorset. It was easy to erect and stood firm the whole weekend.

Fantastic quality and highly recommended.
