Bought my first motorhome from Hayes , a Chausson made in 2008.
Found their prices a bit high but all in all quality and preparation very good
Our motorhome was relatively cheap so some things might have been a little better , there was no real hab check for instance. and all the tyres were out of date (I did not think to check at the time)

Once bought I discovered the air cleaner and induction system was adrift , this was fixed without any problem.
A month later the gearbox failed (broken diff gear which could not have been predicted) , a recon gearbox was fitted without any problem again.
When buying it I noticed there was no record of a cambelt replacement at 10 years old. One was fitted with out a problem.

Since this the vehicle has run fine without any problem.

Bill Hayes and his team were a pleasure to deal with and are very honest and realistic whilst obviously still being a business that needs to make money.

As mentioned this is the first buying experience we have had but if I am in the market for a replacement I would seriously look at Hayes again.

Not the MH but the old 1991 defender 90. Just had my renewal from RAC gone up almost £30 to £170. Gave AF a call got it for £116 same level of cover.

Every year the renewal price went up despite having an extra year NCB and when I complained they immediately offered lower price. This year I received my renewal quote and said to them I was going to look for quotes from other companies and wanted their best and final quote which I received. I found I could get cover for 25% less than they quoted and emailed them to say I did not want to renew my insurance with them as I had been offered a better price elsewhere. They then said to get in touch as they may be able to match that quote.
Why can't they be straightforward and honest in their original quotes they send out rather than hoping you will just allow the insurance to automatically review at a higher price then necessary.

Absolutely top service from NFU

Rang numerous insurance companies all declined to give me a quote due to the value of my new van, this is my first van and the best was because I had moved house recently!!
Only NFU would give me a quote.
Went with my local office in Chichester and dealt with Clare Way, brilliant communication all through.
Sent an email at 9-00 this morning giving them my new ref number and asking for the policy change showing this 9-50 email back with new policy details added.

Have also got a quote from them for cover on my rental houses and they were £250 cheaper on that.😁

Will be giving them a go when our other vehicles are due for renewal.

it’s a pleasure to do business with them , straight talking people who go the extra mile to look after you , they are very competitive with sales (Barrie & Scott ) & servicing (the very competent John) . I travel 400 miles for the pleasure of their services, they are a family run business & they have made me feel like a family member , 2 new vans later & I wouldn’t use anybody else

Dropped the van Sunlight T68, in on Wednesday morning for rear air suspension and tow bracket.
Rang Thursday late am to confirm done, as they err on side of caution and asked us to leave until Friday, we collected it this morning.

team helpful from day 1 when enquiring. On Wednesday one of their drivers spotted me following him and got SAP to ring me to tell me to follow him as he would take me directly to their workshop - excellent.

We bought our first motorhome, an Adria Coral 690SC Platinum, from Becks a few weeks ago. We had done our research and knew the layout we wanted, but it was a six hour round trip to Becks to view and test drive the van so we had a number of conversations on the ‘phone before committing to the journey.
It was mid afternoon by the time we arrived, and well past their closing time before we had finished our viewing and test drive. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was helpful, encouraging us to take our time and inspect the van thoroughly.
The couple of minor things that needed doing were done quickly and the van, a three year old model, was like new when we collected it. They even took a series of photos of the stages involved in making up the single bed in the seating area and had them laminated for us for future reference.
We were very impressed with Becks in all aspects of our dealings with them, and I would certainly recommend them.

I was preparing for a winter trip to Germany/Austria and was advised that I would need winter tyres as a legal requirement. Someone recommended P & B Tyres to me, I telephoned and spoke to Brian who really knew his stuff and advised me to go for the tyres with the three peak mountain snowflake logo on them (even got me a discount to claim £40 back from the manufacturer). Booked my vehicle in and they were fitted, first class service from start to finish highly recommended.

Just the best thing we have done . We spent over £100k on our new Hymer , the cost of the leveling system is peanuts in the scale of things. I had the system fit at their Blackburn workshop, the guys were very good, i was very impressed with the service. I would definitely recommend the system to everyone looking for a leveling system. One day all new motorhomes will come with the system already fit .

We have been with NFU for many years, we started using them when we bought a 2k Ifor Williams trailer. When we queried our previous insurer they would insure our new trailer but only to a value of £200. NFU covered the full value.
We bought our first motorhome this year and found that insurance was very expensive when we tried the specialist insurers. They were loading the premium because we hadn’t had a motorhome before. After a quick call to NFU, they thought about it for a couple of minutes and added it to my existing policy so we now have a cheaper policy that beat the other quotes.
Past experience also shows that they don’t fret about charging for a green card for Morocco, or for modifications.

Well the internet and forum comments are true.
So, accounts show they employ administrators, and we all know sales people aren’t good at paperwork, they do they’re job and it was done well.

Day before we are due to collect, can you delay from 10 to 12, alarm and tracker not fitted. ok, arrive 12, sorry reverse camera and head unit not fitted. You can take and bring back, or collect in a few days.

left, to pick up two weeks later.

day before, asked as we had not had handover videos, finally provided when we arrived to pick up the van!

Weight was being upgraded so roadtax dropped, even though they had two weeks to sort not done!

and today checking documents, warranty paper work not completed.

one thing you can accept, but this is just total incompetence

and you would have thought having to go twice at least a bottle of wine or something would have been a nice apology.

no wonder they are having to lay off staff, probably not getting repeat clients - poor managemen!
