Having recently found out I needed to update my payload urgently I spoke to Cath at AS Air suspension Warrington as they are on the list SV Tech recommend. They were absolutely brilliant from minute one and even managed to squeeze me in between jobs within a couple of days as I am going on a trip in the near future and upgraded from 3600 to 3850kg with rear air suspension. Phil (Caths husband) was all over it and fitted the system quickly and professionally but also identified a separate issue that Fiat are now sorting under warranty which his keen eye and knowledge noticed, which would have gone on unidentified until a much later date where the problem would have been a lot worse.
This is a couple who are motor-homers having travelled extensively so know it from our side and the service I got was second to none,as a newbie asking loads of questions and learned a lot from both of them.
They e mailed Sv Tech whilst for me whilst I was driving home so the next phase of the uprate was started and an e mail from Sv waiting for me when I arrived.

I had a full service, new cam belt, mot and habitation check by friendly and apparently honest garage. I do not believe they are cheapest by any means, but a good job appears to have been done.

Started motorhome to take for MOT and the airbag, child seat fitted, seatbelt off warning lights stay on and milometer flashing.
Took to the MOT station and got them to look at the problem rather than MOTing as it's a failure scenario. They couldn't reset so I posted off to Crash-Data Repair on Friday @ 19:00. Received back on Tuesday @12:00.
Refitted and all good. Flew through it's MOT today!

Popped in yesterday for the first time, not sure why first time as it’s really close but hey! Great selection of items available and we purchased a few (completely forgetting about the discount). We also had a long chat with a knowledgeable member of staff about an enclosed awning as we have been thinking about getting one for a while now....top marks to him for spotting the fridge vents on the same side as our wind out awning just from a very small photo on my phone and explaining the dangers that posed.

All in all a great visit and we will be back very soon (especially as the Sunday lunch at the nearby George Inn is excellent!)

I bought a Rapido Dreamer D55+ from Highbridge in November 2018, having expressed interest at the October NEC show. My sales person Lee was pleasant enough although it took some tough negotiation to get a half way reasonable part ex price on my 2017 Autotrail Imala trade in and the only extra that they were willing to throw in was a Fiamma awning. The van arrived in early December and we booked a handover date that was convenient for the installation of a Growler alarm the following day down the M5 at Vanbitz. The part exchange was quickly taken care of and we moved into the handover phase. Now I realise that December weather can be bad, but I had assumed that handover would take place inside a dedicated bay with shelter from the wind and rain. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case, and we were placed in the care of a lady who clearly had no knowledge of the Dreamer D55, as she was unable to answer basic questions and didn’t know the location of many of the key systems on the van including the gas isolation manifold, and she was unable to explain how the over-door control panel worked. Having had gas system problems on our previous van, I specifically asked if the gas system had been tested and was fully functional. I was assured that the van had undergone a rigorous PDI and there would be no issues. So we had a 30 second walk around the van in a gale with horizontal rain and then sent on our way - we had to pack the van from the boot of the car in their front car park, trying not to get the interior wet. As others have noted, there was no ‘housewarming’ gift or even gratitude for our business.

After driving to Cornish Farm, I set about connecting a gas cylinder to the regulator and checking the gas system. Nothing, not a sausage. It didn’t matter how much I pressed the green reset buttons on the hoses and regulator, gas would not flow. The Truma 6E went into lockout because of gas failure and I couldn’t even make a cup of tea as I didn’t have an electric kettle with me. Fortunately I managed to get the Truma working on electricity and the following day after having the alarm fitted, I headed back to Highbridge to get them to look at the gas system. After quite a bit of investigation by the technician, he found that a test valve in the system had been left closed when the gas checks were done and apologised profusely.

Some weeks later, Highbridge contacted me to say that there was a Rapido recall on the van, and booked me in to have the repair done. I duly drove from South Wales to Highbridge and waited in reception for a couple of hours before they got around to looking at my van. I was then informed that the system had already been modified at the factory and everything was fine with no need for any work. There was no apology, no offer to reimburse my expenses for the wasted journey just a reminder to book my hab check early as they get booked up.

I have since had some minor warranty work done when I took the van for its hab check, but there was a problem with the Remis cab blinds that they couldn’t complete in the time allotted. After suggesting that I leave the van with them for 2 weeks (to complete a job that probably won’t take more than 2 hours) I suggested that they send me the parts and I could do it myself. They readily agreed and the parts have now arrived so I’m able to do the job in my own time.

In my opinion the overall dealer experience was poor, and I would be reluctant to give Highbridge any more of my business.

I bought my first motorhome from CLV, and it was a very smooth and pleasant experience. I was attracted to models from both the Bailey and Autotrail range and Ross from the sales team was very patient in discussing the pros and cons of both makes and gave me a very satisfactory deal on a new Autotrail Imala 734. Collection day was again a very smooth and pleasant experience as CLV have a dedicated indoor handover area, meaning that the exterior of the van can be inspected in the warm and dry, and as it is on EHU, the functioning of the internal systems can be properly demonstrated.

After handover, we had a couple of minor niggles that were quickly resolved, including a repair to an overhead roof light that was completed when we stopped in on the off chance on our way home from a few days in West Wales. I have always found the staff polite and helpful whenever I have contacted them, and had CLV been a dealer for the next motorhome that we bought, I would not have hesitated to deal with them again.

We had a good look around for our current motor home and rather than have one specked and built to order we found one more or less as we wanted at Southdowns. After a week or so negotiating we agreed the price and went to view. The dealer is a good 150 miles away so a little apprehensive due to sorting any issues should they arise which appears to be the norm rather than the exception...
So here we are 3 months in and some very minor issues have been noted, which are negligible and can wait until we are in the area. Had a big issue with our gas filling system and they couldn’t have been more helpful. When we got there that afternoon around 3pm they were quite busy with other vans but straight away dealt with our gas system, checked out our other items and sorted them out as well. Left us reassured and happy with their immediate service

Sent our Air bag ECU to this company in October when the dreaded dashboard light came on and it wouldn’t connect to a scanner to identify any fault.
They were very helpful but unfortunately ours couldn’t be mended due to internal corrosion. They transferred data to a new one they supplied and it was a very simple job to remove/fit. £300 all in and significantly less than having the job done by a Fiat garage.

We recently collected a used low profile van from the Devon branch and could not have had a more pleasant and rewarding experience. The sales team were polite, hands-off and cheerful, letting us take our time and providing any information needed when asked, then leaving us to look around in peace.

Having negotiated a decent deal which included them supplying and fitting a new awning and installing a refillable gas system, we also gave them a snag list of small items we had found and showed these to the technician who would be doing the job.

To our surprise, the technician found and fixed a number of other issues during the habitation check and PDI that we had not noticed, including a new spark unit on the oven, making good some amateur wiring to bedside reading lights, replacing a couple of dicky switches, a brand new Bluetooth stereo, a brand new leisure battery and a new RCD breaker.

The van had to go to the Somerset branch (they plan to increase garage space in Devon) for mechanical checks and a full service and MoT, which included a cam belt change as it was about due anyway. We had not realised this and the fact that it was done without fuss or fanfare speaks volumes.

On collection, the same technician (Ben) did the handover which covered absolutely everything in a clear and unhurried manner. The sales team also threw in a number of useful items from the shop free of charge.

We did a couple of days away and found that one of the gas rings is reluctant to light. On reporting this issue the service department booked their mobile technician to come to the house to investigate and fix the fault. All this is part of the comprehensive 12 month warranty on habitation and mechanicals that comes as part of the deal.

The sales team (Luke, Jody and Pete) were excellent and Ben is an outstandingly wonderful person who just loves his job. We cannot recommend Highbridge too highly for anyone looking for their next van.

Will update
Spoke to Chris about options for our new van, went for his suggestion of a single 14kg Alugas as significant cost saving over the two 11kg I thought I wanted!
The one item missing on delivery was sent by first class post without quibble so good after sales service.
Great professionalism and good ethical business advice with a Funster discount as well.

Had good service from Oaktree. Very friendly , not pushy and the three members if staff I had dealings with were knowledgeable and gave good advice. A couple of niggles post sale were sorted very quickly and with no quibble. In the time since we bought our vehicle everything's been fine. Not the biggest dealer but a good range of makes and you're free to have a look round them without any hassle . Will definitely return in future years.

We shopped around for insurance on the MoHo when we imported it into the UK. We had been living in Germany where we were covered by a German company, but as we were repatriating and the policy was due for renewal, it seemed simpler to buy a UK policy.
CAMC were the best for price of several I checked and a very good price if I fitted a tracker. So, we bought their policy, fitted a tracker and we were covered as soon as we had imported the van from Germany.
As the vehicle was an import and at that time without DVLA registration, they agreed to insure it on chassis number for 14 days, with the proviso we didn’t use it on the road. When it became apparent that we were going to overshoot the 14 day limit, I rang the CAMC call centre explaining we were going to run over by about ten days and would they provide just a simple theft and fire cover pending the DVLA producing the registration number (we were not driving it on the road at this time). The call handler said he would contact the underwriters but their response was to cancel the policy by writing to me saying the 14 days were up. They refunded my payment less time covered.
But then, a week after that, a representative rang me asking if I would like to insure through them after all, they had perhaps been a little hasty and the person I had spoken to on the phone had followed the protocols too strictly by not speaking to the underwriters; he had looked at the flow chart and decided that there was no point calling them, our criteria for extension did not fit! She said he should have spoken to them and they would have covered us…
Obviously by this time, we had cover with another company, NFU, who were quite happy to take the van on, on a chassis number pending registration. What was really frustrating was the lack of flexibility demonstrated by the CAMC chap I spoke to, when looking at the follow up call, the company clearly wanted our business.
As a note of interest, German insurance companies insure vehicles on chassis numbers and not registration numbers, as there the registration number belongs to the person and will move with them onto their new vehicle!

It was time to change our Adria Compact for an Adria Twin so, although we had met other dealers at the shows, we decided to go to Dinmore Leisure near Leominster as they are closest to us.
They could not have been more helpful and patient over our several visits. They kept us up to date with their discussion over dates with Adria and offered a deal we were very content with.
We had also been impressed with their handling of the problems for MotorhomeFun member Stevel2 during 2019.
We have yet to experience Handover and Aftersales but are fully confident they will be excellent.
Many thanks to Gavin, Peter, Adam and to the gentleman who gave my wife a delicious mug of hot chocolate.
We'll be back.

Just got back with our Dethleffs from SAP Doncaster. Had updated front springs and E&P levellers fitted. Delighted with the results. Van rides and handles much better and the levellers are decadence. First class service from Mick and all the team, plus a thorough and clear handover by Rick. So glad we chose SAP on recommendations from other Funsters. Thank you.

Purchased a used Motorhome with a part exchange good initial contact and after some friendly haggling managed to get what we considered a good deal after visits to 3 other dealers
We accept that we always wanted more than possible with our part exchange and another cheaper than possible but got a deal in the end this was our 8th so we have learned a few things
Found Oaktree helpful and mostly knew their stuff

Well Jim we were happy with them when we bought Maxine three years ago.
And we've had no trouble with her since we drove out of the gates that would need her to go back either even with the three years warranty they gave us. Though going to head that way soon to go to IKEA so might pop in for a coffee

New sun living v65
Enthusiastic sales team who seem like generally nice people as well.
After the initial sales tour of the vehicle we were left to explore the interior and debate between ourselves the pros and cons so having decided we made an offer there and then. Over the next couple of days and a few telephone conversations we agreed the price and the deal was done with a firm delivery date that was very important for us. The most expensive Christmas present we have ever bought ourselves!
The handover on pickup was professional and comprehensive and the couple of minor issues sorted immediately.
If I was in the market for a motorhome I would happily use this company again.
Thanks guys.

We bought our Chausson Suite Maxi from Simon and Sian on the weekend they officially launched the Motorhome arm of Howards. In addition to the MH we were given a box of starter items (electricity cable, toilet fluids, smoke and Monoxide alarms). Things we already had, which Simon knew as we traded in our old van. We've had to go back for one or two things that went wrong unexpectedly (anyone else had to have a new fresh water tank because theirs split?) all of which were attended to as soon as we could arrange to get back to Taunton and if necessary with a night at Cornish Farm. Howards will certainly be our first call should we change the van.

So glad you can see the excellent service was not an overly keen start up show by Howards Motorhomes, the service is still at the amazing standard, in fact we are now on our second Howards Motorhome. Like you say would go nowhere’s else and I recommend anyone who is thinking of buying to go to Howards
