Looks like a great beach park...as long as it’s not high tide! Where is it?

Booked a 1 nighter on the 14th April C&MC site at Buxton, then a short time later 4 nights at Wold Farm near Bempton Cliffs to take Photos of Gannets and Puffins if they have arrived back from sea. 😃

No

Not many HDs there. Couple of old Matcheless there i see, wonderful.
HD's? Pah! We're Hell's Anginas not Hell's Angels!

Yep they're all Matchlesses except one AJS and one forriner next to it at the far end.
Four of us rode to the last permitted rally which was just South of Milan in May 2019, camping all the way there and back.
......and we went 'over the top.......' to get there. Our ages 65 to 74.

If i could find someone to look after a classic bike for me i would have one tomorrow. I am hopeless with a spanner.
Love em, Wel jel.
Meanwhile have to stick with my modern stuff.

Rothenburg for Rhine in Flames two years ago. Of all our time spent in Germany that was one of the best.

I was looking for a bike to 'pop to the caff' on

Nearly bought an fifties AJS but decided it would take too much time/hassle fettling it (in my case I have the skills & tools, but I prefer to restore & fettle classic race bikes for fun & have far too many other hobbies)

In the end I settled for a Royal Enfield Continental GT535 - it's a single cylinder, old school cafe racer built in India (they do a variety of old school styles and recently launched a range of twins)

It feels old to ride, but has an electric start and modern brakes - if you put a 'B' suffix plate on it, people think it's an original!

I do about 1,500 miles a year on her, when it needed it's annual service for the first time, I was too busy prepping my Honda for the Classic TT - the local Enfield dealer serviced it for eighty quid - they now do it every year!

In my 4 years of ownership, all that's needed doing is an annual service and at one of those they replaced the clutch cable

Might be worth having a look/test ride on one (the pic below is with the optional dual seat)

Actually i've ridden many miles on a RE 500 single on my India trips. A friend of mine has recently changed all his 500s for the new Himalaya's, he own's and runs an adventure bike company. Look up Nomadic Knights. Alec is his name.
But yes i agree, a newish 350 or 500 single gives the impression of old with the relatively reliability of newer. Might just consider that.
Lovely bike BTW above.

makems Wow!!! Absolutely stunning, did you take those pics? The camel train seen through the archway, incredible. Somewhere I've never been and now wish I could. Thanks for sharing those photos.

Yes, I took all the photos. The one with the camels was fortunate. They run overnight treks into the Sahara from the hotel and I spotted one of the groups setting off. I knew it would make a good photo from the pool area through one of the arches so I ran round and got the shot just in time.

We did the romantic road. Loved Rothenburg. The aire just outside the gate is the only time I’ve seen a caravaner sent packing for using an aire ( stellplatz).
