Learning all the time
The van we went to look at today had some extras that we want missing.
1 A good satellite for TV. That will work at the bottom of Spain and auto track.
2 A good sat nav.
3 A bike rack for 3 bikes.
4 solar panel
All of the above, middle to top of the range fitted. Has anyone any idea of the individual prices?
Thanks rob.

Me...
1. I'd Bin the satellite, use internet streaming.
2. CoPilot for your phone or tablet.
3. I always go for tow bar bike racks seen too many holes ripped in motorhome rear walls
4. Fit as many solar panels as your roof and wallet allows (y)

All satellites work at the bottom of Spain.... You just won't get British TV.

1.5 to 2 meter dish might work though.

I’m getting all channels on a 85cm oyster..... now watching itv in Alicante

Also get it in Javea altea and Benidorm ...

Have done for the last 3yrs :D

Hi all,

Just Smiffy I'm assuming has an Oyster 85cm autoskew system.
Even though technically the UK signal on Astra 2 finishes at the Pyrenees there is a side lobe that you can get from Tarragona down to around Cartagena on the east coast of Spain.
We cannot guarantee this signal as there are quite a few variables (weather, atmospherics, time of year, age and wear of components etc) that may cause it to drop out but we do tend to hear of good results in that area using our system.
We do not sell direct so I cannot give an exact price but you would be looking around £2300 for a Vision III up to £2700 for the new Oyster V system.
Brochure is available here: and if you want to know of dealers near you please PM me.

LOL @Jaws - we agree with his assessment of Mo !

Jenny and I have been playing a game of Crib whilst on holiday including on rallies etc ever since we bought the Triumph in my Avatar, one year we recorded in 5-bar gates on a bit of paper how many games we each won. At the end of the year we counted em - and we were absolutely equal !

We've never actually missed a TV or a radio, other people tell us the news if we haven't been able to connect to internet wherever we are or have been recently. People of all nationalities like to tell other folk the weather forecast though campsites do tend to post it on their noticeboards - so it's usually a good enough reason (excuse) to wander along to read it and socialise.

Could not live with out the news updates.
Morning ritual check BBC Home page. Then radio on while cooking breakfast. Then through the day TV updates at 13.00 and 18.00
When the live debate on the European thing we don't talk about was on watched them
All this sends poor Les mad

Don’t bother!
Half of it’s wrong, and the other half is propaganda!

Wouldn't bother with the awning yet.
Wait till you use the mh.
Not much use if you're on the move.
However,.could be useful if staying on campsites.
Poles better than air. No leaks and will stand up to bad weather better.
Also, should only be pumped to specific pressure.
