33°c (91.4°F) here in Suffolk.
Hardly any breeze today.
We are cool and comfy indoors watching 🏏 and F1 practice.
Kept windows and curtains closed on the sunny side of the house to keep it cool and have a large umbrella up on the terrace ready for drinks later.
Very glad not to be working in this heat.

Richard.

Took a walk on sea front early, sea really calm and a gentle breeze. Later went for a cycle ride out to the pier , a few about fishing and since then have baked bread rolls and a ciabatta loaf ready for BBQ tonight.
Doors and windows open with sea breeze blowing through , bootiful

I could fancy being on arran at the moment. I saw that arran has been covid free for over a 100 days.

My day started with a lovely cool 1 kilometer swim with Jenben while the boys went for an early bike ride. We are now lounging outside the Van's in the shade loving the Norfolk sea breeze. BBQ later with some chilled beer.

Ok yes I might be being smug, but it is a lovely day.

Don’t think the weather on the Fylde coast turned out too bad today after all. ☀️😊 not looking too good on the south coast for a change!

We leave everything open at night and shut it up early morning. Learnt this when living in the bush in Australia. We remember when it was 110 degrees, day and night for over three weeks, then they forecast 100 degrees, we were happy it was going to be a cool day. Many a time we took the mattress off the bed and slept on the floor by the open door to get fresher air.

Today its 35 here in central Portugal has been up to 38 this week. Thankfully it does cool down at night. Not as humid as the UK though.

Did I mention that I worked in Qatar for over a year? Hottest place in the world after Death Valley, and boy did one know about it! Thankfully both my office and my bungalow - and the pool- were refrigerated!

Don't know how the forecasters do it? Supposed to be hot and sunny today in Bristol. Whilst it's been warm (rather than hot), we've had a couple of heavy showers and much black cloud.

Played tennis, started 2pm when 30C. A tad warm, but 2 litres of water kept me going until finish at 4pm.
Knackered, but we won and that's what matters!!

I bet that there was a lot of engines running on tick over with the air con on
Trouble is after they first started fitting it in most cars from the late 90's they realised that they could get away with air con that really only works above tick over. made the compressors/evaporators/condensers smaller so that they are only reasonably efficient when the vehicle is moving. When you actually want it , stuck in a traffic jam is when it is the least efficient.
My 97 Fiesta & the Delica mpv you could keep hanging meat in at tickover.

In my truck I tap the cruise control to increase the revs and leave it to cool down this time of year or winter to warm up

Indeed there were we were amongst them. Pandemonium on A1 A14 M1 and all roads North.
Left Mansfield 6am nice steady run down to south coast to pick up new to us Mo Ho we went in the i10 toad 3 hrs inc breakfast.
Return trip 7 hrs door to door finished going 40 mile west to pick up a clear run up the M1
Everything from minor bumps lorry roll overs to people badly hurt in major crash scenes
I blame elf and safety for 90% of full road closures for what seem minor bumps
