We have just found out that even though we booked online the booking didn't go through ---- if we rebook can somebody tell us please do they send tickets or an email that you print off in order to get in on arrival because today we leave home and do not return prior to the rally so wouldn't want to do this if the tickets will come here -- hope to hear from someone -- thanks

You can ask to collect the tickets at the gate when you arrive at the show - that's what I'm doing.

There is a drinking water tap in the hedge in the narrow bit of the 'Exhibition Area' - ie at the Fun end. Still a bit of a walk but not as bad as the map shows.

We have good news and bad.

The good news; for the first time ever we will have a water tap at our rally pitch rather than the bowser The bad news, the tap won't be put in place till after the racing on Tuesday,:Sad: so that will probably be Wednesday. So either arrive full of fresh water, or fill up on site before you get down to the rally area:thumb:

It's looking like a good one, the weather I booked is being delivered. We have over 60 Ralliers arriving on Monday, just one on Tuesday and 7 on Wednesday the rest arrive Thursday and Friday

We are looking for a few volunteer assistant marshals on Wed Thur and Fri, not all day, just a morning or an afternoon. if you could spare a few hours it would be great. Otherwise it's a long week for the marshals who don't get any time off.

Meanwhile, here is a copy of the welcome letter you'll get when you arrive. See you there. Please don't arrive before 11am on Monday it's chaos otherwise very often we can't get across the track and onto our pitch until lunchtime. :thumb:

Hi Jim
regret to advise that we will not be able to attend the Stratford rally, we were looking forward to meeting some funsters. The father-in-law wrestled with his green wheeley bin and bust his hipbone as a result.
he won't be on his feet for at least a week and the mother-in-law needs to be attended to, and ferried to the hospital for visits etc-both are in their 90,s.
I'll contact stone leisure in the morning to see if i can arrange a refund on return of the tickets etc.

hope the weather stays like current and everyone has a geat time

Is there a shower block at Stratford?

We havn't done............"no electric hook up"........

before either, so it will be good to try it out whilst there are a hundred or so Funsters to help out

We have got 130 watt solar panel and 2 x 75 batteries, but just never tried it out in 6 years.

Our motorhome shower is a bit cramped

After waiting and waiting, I eventually got confirmation late this evening that my uncle's funeral will be on June 27th, so off I went to book for this, our first event. Imagine my disappointment to find "online booking closed" and it's only 23.40 on 13th June. Does this imply that they are working on GMT or that the site is full? :Sad:

Or did I misunderstand the concept of midnight? Was it just over 23.5 hours ago?

Perhaps I will still be allowed to turn up? - Gordon

Hi Gordon,

I'm not sure about the online booking deadline, however, the organisers of this particular show will allow you to turn up and pay on the day. You just have to tell them that you are camping with Motorhomefun, whereupon you will then be directed down to our huge camping area. :thumb:
