Motorhome less..... Again... :crying1:

Took a hit on this one, as nice as it looked, it had over the last few months latched on to a nasty gremlin..:Eeek:

When I bought it and according to my damp meter and the habitation check a few weeks before I bought it, every thing was fine.....
I did inform the buyer about the damp on the floor, believed to be from the boiler or a split pipe, which he was OK about..

What I never expected was a huge leak in the roof while it has been stood for 5 months or so... all the high up cupboards down one side Saturated.... Soaked and soggy as all get out... :banghead::swear:

No one else to blame except myself.... Normally a couple of times a year I would be up on the roof cleaning and checking seals etc.... But afraid I just cannot get up there and consequently have not checked the seals which have broken down around the Aerial and a bit round one of the roof skylights.. which in turn has run down out of sight into all the cupboards...

So this time I really do think it`s the end of the line for Judy and I.. :crying1::crying1:

Going to give it some serious thought over the next few month`s...:frowny:

And as I think that`s it, I will have a ton of gear to get rid of. IE.... Alloy framed wind breaks,,, couple of Alloy fold up and put in a bag Table`s,,,, Gas bottles,,, Ramps,,, New TV/CD player,,, half a dozen EHU cables (Some new, various lengths.),,, Waste water Tote,,, Awning Mat,,, Half a dozen tin`s of out of date baked beans,,, two packets of soft ginger nut biscuits,,, Bag of solid Sugar,,, Small tub of half empty vanilla Ice cream with complimentary green mould on top,,, Etc, Etc...

We will decide what road we are going down in a few weeks after we have moved ... so keep an eye out on the "For Sale" section in a few weeks ...(y)

Take heed...... Even though you are NOT using your Motorhome do check regularly the roof and various seals..(y):hugs:

Sorry to hear it’s gone, but must be a relief to you.one less hassle at the moment. There’s no rush to get another one, not like you can go anywhere at the moment any way. Get your move sorted and get settled and see how you both feel then. Stay safe both of you. (y)

Any F.B. Pies ? BUSBY

Can I have the all joke books please, so I can tear them up, then cross shred the pages, then burn them, then scatter the ashes to the wind on a very windy day. :gum:

Any chance you could put the beans up for auction? I’m interested but someone got in before me. 🤷‍♂️

I’m sure you’ll be back. (y)

Hi mo might be interested in your trailer send me pictures when you’re ready

If you decide to try again you not go for a PVC - much less risk of damp and bad seals and other ageing issues, it is a trade-off against less internal space but could give you peace of mind in return.

All jokes aside, I hope both you & Judy enjoy what you decide to do in the future, despite the water ingress it can't have been an easy decision.

Its probably one of my worse buy`s.. :frowny: But I don`t think anyone could have foreseen what was wrong without regular checks on the roof...

Just so glad I did not promise to let a "Funster" have first dibs...

Just a short buggy ride to here =

.. And somewhere to take the dog for a walk and swim...(y)

I would sooner be moving back to Dorset... :crying1:

OK Auld Yin, pleased and sad that the bus has gone!:cry: One worry off your mind but .......
Anyway, to the more serious point! Can you put me down for the Mint Choc Chip Vanilla ice cream, pretty please.(y)

And, even more serious point, does the Classified Ads functionality have enough spaces in the "price" for the number of zeros you're going to have to put in after the 1 when you list Judy?:whistle2::wink::doh:

I’m not sure what all the drama is about
I thought the words water ingress & mo-ho’s go hand in hand 😄

no longer a motorhomer BUT still the forum JESTER 👑

Huh, too late for the ginger nuts I see, were they just soft or really limp wristed and did Judy know you kept them in the van?

If nothing else I'll have a couple of feet of the EHU, I find it encourages me to park up to the white post correctly when I'm short of hook up. (y)

Best of luck Mo whatever you do.

He ain't goin' nowhere as he's too 'tight'! :giggle: He's got to get his money's worth (or tea-urn's worth) out of being on here!!! 😄

Looks ok tho........

Not sure about the tile in the middle... Looks like a small hair crack in it... :frowny:

Bugger really sorry to hear about your motorhome,
Please please please though keep those early morning jokes coming, Chris and I have this little chat most mornings, What is in the funny box today... (y)

Don’t think for one sec that you will be leaving here you are a foundation stone that we want and need here to keep people smiling and coming back for more.
Are you going to get another or are you putting your steadies up for good ?

AHA! Get some fresh double cream and whip until stiff. Sandwich a packet of ginger nuts together on at a time like a caterpillar. Use rest of cream to coat the outside.

One lovely fresh cream English Ginger Cake for immediate consumption!

Normally with fresh crunchy biscuits, you need to leave it alone for several hours for the biscuits to soften up before slicing serving and eating.

Never say never........ But said that before I bought this shed....

Doubt it.... thought Judy MAY drive this one as it is small, but she said no... :frowny:
