Already booked for next Tuesday. Not heard from the surgery so have gone directly to the booking site.

Had mine done this week - prompted by a text from the GP’s surgery with a link to the local centres and availability. Got the text at 9.30 am and booked a slot for 12.20 the same day!

Why not just go to. Walk in place ?

We had ours last Wednesday after booking over a month ago.
Thursday I received a letter from NHS saying I am now eligible to have my booster :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Got mine on Wednesday 2pm at the local rugby club.
Annoying thing is I also have a diabetic eye check at the same venue at 11.50am the same day.
Not sitting in the car for 2 hours so 2 x 8 mile round trips.

Best you get changed for the afternoon game then

AFAIK you can't do that with the booster (3rd) jab but I haven't double checked.

When you go to the clinic pop to the jab centre and ask them if they'll do you then, when hubby went for his 2nd jab mine was booked for the following day (same place), they told me if it had been the same as hubby regardless of time they could have done it as they would have had the right number of jabs to be able to give me mine but not otherwise as they had to ensure they had them available for those who were actually booked in that day.

Yes Ann's second jab was booked in for 2 hours after mine, we both went at my appointment time and got done no problem 😊

Yes, they def. do a walk in for booster.

I got a text message to make an appointment at our local health centre, but Mrs Sandancers (who had her 1st & 2nd at same place same time as me) did not. So I got mine done at the health centre then a couple of days later the Mrs went to a local walk-in which had just opened up. Then this morning letters arrived from NHS asking us to book appointments !

Had ours Friday, Pfizer so assume they didn't have spares as they said they were waiting for 20 more people to turn up.they actually turned one chap away who had come a day early.we were in a short queue so assume they had arranged/ invited for sufficient people for the doses brought out of the freezer .

Thank you Minxy Girl - I've been checking most days but having the heads up for today means we have got best choice of venue & date with same time slots for us both (y) It'll be manic when it gets out on widespread social media that although this is meant to be from Monday it's live on the website now.

The wife and myself booked in for Thursday 👍 Our local vaccination centre is the local hotel, a grand walk of a few hundred yards.. 😁

Good idea.
I can at least ask, they can only say no (y)

Has anybody had their third booster jab recorded on their NHS app?
had mine 17days ago, the original two are on there but not the booster.

I had text about booster about a month ago, rang and no can’t do it as not been 6month 1 week. So why tell me to book!!

The app doesn't have the ability at present to store the 3rd jab, I suspect because at the time it was originally produced there wasn't a perceived need for a 3rd jab.

The travel passport bit of the app is not set up for the booster yet. It should be in the ordinary part of your medical records though. It may be under medications or under consultations. It depends how your surgery has entered it.

To see mine you have to go to: See GP health record, and then,
Consultations and events
Then scroll down to find it

It’s a pain. We were chatting during a brief lull at the flu clinic yesterday and one of the surgeries in town is looking at having a ”vaccination” section for all jabs. I know some places do this already. Seems very sensible.

Had our booster jabs just over a week ago and mine is showing on the NHS bit of the app but the travel one only shows the first 2 jabs. Mine is under Immunisations.

Yours is set up already , much better idea, It was only when I was looking for my travel vaccinations that I realised I had to scroll through years of consultations to find them. A real pain.

Although Joe and I are at the same surgery he doesn't have Immunisations on his app! His is under Acute Medications so not quite as easy to find as not at the top of the list!

Barmy , that’s even more strange. I don’t understand why there’s no consistency. It came up because I was chatting to one of my old work partners who’s the senior partner of one of the surgeries in town. He was moaning, we’re both registered at the other practice in town, I said that his was the same as my son is registered with him! He had no idea so is looking at it. I don’t understand , I assumed it was the way individual practices set it up but clearly not.

Just had ours, booked online on Wednesday, seamless administration. Was pleasantly surprised at how many young ones were there, some for first jabs. Quite a few venues are saying no jab no admission wonder if this is having an effect.

As per the below screen shot from 8 November you can 'officially' book your booster jab HOWEVER you can actually do it now so I and hubby have booked ours.

No need to wait till Monday working now. Just booked this morning. Slot for Nov18 dead on our 6 months after our second jab.

Had mine today but thanks I have just booked my better half in for next Saturday.BUSBY.

Hubby took his mum yesterday for her booster and the nurse offered to do his as well she explained they had brought the 6 month gap down to 5 he declined and said he’d had his previous injections at same time as me so would wait till we booked together she told him no probs go and fetch her and we will do you both so he returned to pick me up and we both went back and had them done they were accepting walk ins as well as those who had booked an appointment 👍
