It's not landed yet John (which is unusual). I'll keep my eye on it.

As you are staying 7 nights and I've relaxed the restriction on leaving on Monday, could I ask, What day are you arriving.

Regards
Derek

Hi Derek,

Someone’s in luck as regretfully I will have to cancel my attendance at the plum but not plum festival, which I was rather looking forward to. I have received a Consultants appointment which I have tried to reschedule but am unable to do. Old age, it’s a bugger eh! Please donate my deposit to your charity.

Hope the Rally goes well

Simon

AFTERNOON ALL.

THE 'EVENT' TAKING PLACE AT THE RUGBY CLUB HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
This information was passed to me this morning by our host, John.

Apparently there were too many restrictions to make the numbers, and therefore the event, viable.

I have been waiting for some time before posting the following.

Jim has posted in 'Rally Planning' a thread entitled COVID19 and Motorhome Fun Rallies.
It spells out the current situation with regard to what is and is not allowed as a result of the pandemic.

NB I have copied Jims Post onto the Pershore Rally Thread.

It will be immediately obvious that Rallies as we are used to, will not be returning anytime soon.
However, that said, the Pershore (Not the Festival) Rally is going ahead, and that was something that was very much under threat not so long ago.

I would urge each and every one of you to read Jims Post. In it, there is a Link to a Form that has to be filled in by EVERY UNIT ATTENDING PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. This isn't a "I'll get around to it." This has to be done and as I doubt that anyone going to Pershore is moving house in the next three weeks, you might as well do it NOW.

With regard to Social Distancing, there is a restriction at Pershore that I know will not be popular. I have spoken to the site owners and they are in agreement with the following.
Pop up Gazebo's and the like are not to be erected at Pershore. Yes I know they are good etc but we all know that they are used for socialising. I make no apology for this. It is necessary to minimise risk.

Finally, could I remind all those Funsters who haven't paid the balance of fees to please do so as soon as possible. I've got, (hopefully) another rally to sort out and I don't want the submission of Monies to clash.

Regards
Derek

For the information of ALL Attendees at Pershore. Here is a copy of Posting by Jim today.

Please read and complete the Track and Trace information Form contained therein;

COVID19 and MotorhomeFun Rallies
Strict laws are in place to prevent the spread of COVID19. This means the traditional MotorhomeFun rally, punctuated with hugs and handshakes has ceased to exist. For now, at least, we cannot gather in a marquee asking for Johnny to B Goode or to try and discover just who Alice is.
The Covid19 laws and recommendations are changing weekly. However there is one constant. No matter who you are, where you are, or what the current law says, you should be mindful of the first principle of person security, which is, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SECURITY. You cannot palm this responsibility off to a policeman, the Prime Minister or your rally marshal. You must look out for yourself! You must be sensible. You must keep your distance from anyone not in your household. You should wash your hands thoroughly, and often, as if your life depended on it.

While the traditional rally is currently illegal, the law allows us to come together in very small groups on campsites. Right now the law requires that everyone maintains social distancing with no group being greater than 6 in number (if they are from more than two households) So should a number of you plan to park up in the same vicinity. You must adhere to the following. Your attendance shows your agreement.
  • For the purposes of track and Trace, before you attend the rally you will fill this form. (there is a Direct Link at this Point on Jim's original article in Rally Planning)
  • If you, or a member of your household, have had symptoms in the 2 weeks leading up to the Rally, you will not attend.
  • While at the rally you must maintain 2m social distance from everyone not in your household. There may be signs to remind you of this, there may not. No matter, you are responsible for your Social distancing.
  • No gathering may be larger than 6 in number. A group of 6 or under must maintain 1m+ spacing between households
  • If you come together in a group greater than 6, even with 2m SD, it could be construed as breaking the law. Therefore on a rally if you come together to talk, you must remain less than 6 in number.
  • If there is more than one gathering of 6, to avoid any ambiguity there must be at least 12m between those groups.
  • No one may enter the motorhome of another not in their household.
  • You MUST sanitise your hands BEFORE and AFTER touching Communal Equipment. Taps, Hoses, Elsan Disposal Lids, dustbins etc. There may be sanitisation gel at these points for you to use. However, remember the First Principle above and bring your own!
  • If you become ill, you will let someone know, and you will leave the site and seek medical advice.
  • You agree to leave the rally field for any reason if requested to do so by the rally marshal.
Your Rally marshal will have completed a threat assessment before you arrive, he or she might remind you of these rules when you do, however if they do not, remember that it is your responsibility to stay safe. No one else’s.
While rallies won’t be quite the same, You can still have a pleasant social experience while staying safe. Please make the best of it, Stay Safe, Stay Alert to the dangers and Have Fun.

Hi,
It's the first post (as I type) in 'Rally Planning Discussion and Chat'. Click FORUMS (Top Line). First in Line is Rally Planning Discussion and Chat, Second is Scheduled Rallies. Click Rally Planning etc. After the three 'Sticky' posts then it's the above post by Jim.

Come back if you're still struggling.

It's pity we can't use the pop-ups as they are useful for overnight storage of chairs and table etc and serve as a light rain proof or shade area for sitting outside.
I’m sure you understand though, that should it come to rain, the temptation to huddle a bit inside may be too great especially after a :wine: or two.

For some, maybe, but we all have to self discipline and protect ourselves.its a bit more pleasant sitting outside in the pop up, more so if it's windy (y)

As pop up gazebos are not permitted can we put an awning on our van? I guess it's OK to use a Fiamma wind out if not?

Wind Outs are fine. It's the enclosed space, (No sides) that would be a No No.
