If you want to do them do NOT remove them as they never go back properly! I found it was easier to cut the material to shape with a 1" overlap at the sides/front, use the straight edge at the rear and you can mark where the hinges are and cut out a 'U' shape to go round them, start sticking it on from the rear gradually and then when it's all on you can go round the edges with a very sharp craft/Stanley knife to get rid of the excess and get a nice finish, if you try to do it from a template you'll still end up having to trim it as the material can give whilst fitting it and trying to cut off little overlapping bits is extremely tricky.I keep looking at my glass sink/cooker covers…. Mmmmmm
