The Green Book.
"Dr Don Shirley is a world-class African-American pianist, who is about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962. In need of a driver and protection, Shirley recruits Tony Lip, a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighbourhood in the Bronx. Despite their differences, the two men soon develop an unexpected bond while confronting racism and danger in an era of segregation"

SAS: red notice - Best film ever.

Jokes, it's absolute gash. Nothing even remotely similar to my experience in the regiment.

We watched “The Peanut Butter Falcon” (Netflix) on Friday night. Nothing at all complicated, but a heart-warming story about a 20 year-old with Down’s Syndrome (played by an actor with Down’s) who dreams of becoming a wrestling star and escapes with a tearaway crab fisherman to follow his dream.

The Notebook - DVD lovely but tearjerking ending with a twist.

Peter Rabbit - live/cgi mix - lots of fun with subtle jokes it was on ITV 2/3/4 yesterday so you could find on catch up.

’The Upside’ Immediately comes to mind. Brian Cranston and Kevin Hart play a disabled multi-millionaire and an ex-con whose paths cross. Very witty, has a bit of everything. Really good. On Amazon Prime.

’The Green Book’ true story set in early 1960s America also.on Amazon Prime ...brilliant.

Why am I not at all surprised? Every time I see a ship in a film it drives me nuts with something totally wrong, so I can imagine what dramatisations of people that jump out of aeroplanes and get all muddy are like......

That film, I watched 20 minutes of it, is the biggest pile of crap committed to film.
I would imagine Bravo 2-0 is as near to an insight to the SAS as we’re likely to get in civvy street.
But that film.........

Zero Days is a documentary film about that virus that went round the world a few years ago, intended to disrupt Iran's nuclear centrifuges. Was fascinating, watched it twice 😳👌

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Watched this one a few nights ago, very unusual with comedy, tragedy with plenty of twist and turns.

Try these, oldies but goodies:

In The Heat of the Night; you can feel the heat of America's deep South through the screen.

The Cruel Sea; you can taste the salt! A great war film.

Terminater 2; Arnie at his best! Always got tears my eyes at the end!

Whistle Down The Wind; who can resist Hayley Mills and the other kids in this great film.

Paul; an alien with attitude!

The Others; spooky or what!!

Sleepy Hollow; fantasy horror. Keep your head down!

Enjoy...

A few already mentioned on here that I really like;

Das Boot, both the movie and the episodal series.
Blues Brothers.
Cruel Sea

Films not yet mentioned, all with a star? cast but, to my knowledge, never made it big;

Secondhand Lions, Haley Joel Osment, Robert Duvall and Michael Caine.

The Fourth Protocol, Michael Caine and Pierce Brosnan.

The Man Who Sued God, Billy Connolly and Judy Davis.

Anything by the Coen brothers. So many great films. Fargo, no country for old men, etc.
Brother Where Art Thou - Netflix - has George Clooney actually acting

Not Coen Brothers but - As Good as It Gets - Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in a film that could not be made today
also Netflix
