  • Hi there. I have a 2005 Hymer B564 on a Ducato base and wish to retrofit cruise control. Would you fit the same kit again? Also roughly how long did it take you? Was the loom already set up for plug and play? If not, did you solder or use crimps? How many connections? Did you have to fit a switch to the brake and/or clutch pedal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

The rertrofit cruise control I fitted to our 2013 x250 MH is for CanBus system and I'm fairly sure your 2005 Ducato will be a x240 and so non CanBus, but the kit I fitted works very well. It took about an hour and a half all in to fit. A couple of plugs to pull apart and fit the supplied loom in between and I don't like "Scotch" connector so there were a couple of solder joints.

    Hi Two on Tour,

saw your post re the slow grey water outlet mod that you did. I've the same issue and about to follow your mod. One question, am I correct in assuming that you reamed out the two flow disrupter fins at the valve outlet? Looking at the photography , it appears that there are the remains of some plastic tags, where the fins are in my new valve.

    Kind regards, Dram

Hi Dram, yes, I used a 25mm hole saw that ran up there nicely to remove the flow disrupters so I had maximum flow out of the tap.

Hi Paul & Yvette probably spelt wrong, hope you have had a great time. I would like to contact you sometime for some help regarding fitting extra fans for fridge, also solar controller's, I thought the mods that you have done to your M/h were the best I have seen. I am not sure I am capable of undertaking the same without help. I will not be offended if you do not want to be contacted.
    Regards Trevor.
