Most Funsters don't change their username at all. But lots of newbies join with a real name and want it changed or they have spelled it wrongly. Sometimes older members who have a username to do with a pet or a motorhome they no longer have ask for it to be changed etc. This requires me to manually alter the database and there is no record of the changes and it's time consuming.

To reduce my time spent, I have made it possible for you to change your own name. Should you do this, a post will be made informing everyone of the change, and a public record of the change made in your profile page. You may change your name a maximum of three times. You can access the name change feature in your personal settings. Its pretty straight forward. Choose a unique new name, confirm it and it's done (y)

Yours faithfully

Colin

That's really going to confuse me.
It's bad enough that @DuxDeluxe changes his avatar every day. Now he'll be changing his username as well.

Whatever name he chooses for the third time will be his forever :)
Nope......prefer this one, but will change avatar on a regular basis just for the hell of it....(y)

When you change your name, will this then make your old name immediately available to other members......

If someone is on your ignore list and they change their user name will it automatically update?

I'm not changing mine 'cos I've still got a bad knee. Mind you I have got a buggered back and a knackered shoulder. Hmmm (n)

I thought it was just me who was having difficulties with the text size, and that's on a laptop.

Jim: any chance of it being changed to a 'clearer' larger font such as Arial or Tahoma as standard? I find that it can be difficult to differentiate between a zero and an 'o' in the current typeface.

Whoo-hoooo ... Jim must have 'read' my posting as I'm now seeing everything in Tahoma! (y)

I've changed it to something a little more readable on small devices. I'm bound to get moans but I'll leave it like this for a couple of days and see if it grows on me. Right now I don't like it :)
