I have mentioned these panels several times on here. Those may be s/h but new ones that size can be found for £120 or less. Here's one from a quick eBay search:

Strangely not working for me on the PC either but then I do have ad blocker and most privacy stuff turned on.
Basically it was 285w solar panels (or possibly 260w depending which part of the advert you read haha)("new") inverted commas!!!!! for £75 each. and it looks like he had a BOAT LOAD of them

You could ask him how big the lorry was that they 'fell off' ...
Thats not a great output for a 310w panel, I get 8.33 A from a 150w panel.

To clarify my previous post...
MANGOFORTH solar panels are 36V panels so current will be 1/3rd what a 12v panel would be for the same wattage.
Watts = V x I (current)

I thought some MUST have created a video on youtube explaining volts, current and resistance. did a quick search and Electroboom pops up (of course).
He runs through it extremely quickly and considering I understand this stuff I found it pretty fast. So what I recommend you do is watch it all the way through once, don't pause or stop it and don't be discouraged.
Then watch it again and pause it at each section to try and absorb it. The first run through will give you a good overview allowing the second viewing to make a bit more sense.
My course covered this stuff over a period of months (in more detail) so very hard to get it all in one very short video. I think Electroboom did a pretty good job here making it both educational but also entertaining.
I am just off to watch his other 101 videos as I didn't know he had made them

9 amps at 33 volts will be around 25 amps by the time the controller has reduced the voltage down to 12.

As grommet has succinctly put.. It's not all about the amps.

or even
310w at 240v - 1.3A if you are putting it through an inverter (with an imaginary zero loss conversion)..
Personally I prefer the water in the pipe analogy for beginners

I've just sat and watched this play out. Electronics is not my game, I've just travelled through all the emotions ?? I'm currently sat at nervous happy!

When the lightbulb goes on it is a fantastic feeling... It is why I love learning new stuff all the time...
Electronics when looked at as a whole is an awe inspiring mass of cleverness that can overwhelm. But the secret is that it is made up of really really simple building blocks and rules.
Judging by your abilities with your project so far, you will have absolutely no problems learning the basics of electronics and get that lightbulb feeling
If you get a burning sensation it is one of 2 things.or a burning sensation
1) You put it somewhere it shouldn't have gone.

Been slack on the updates, super busy researching stuff. Had lots of helpful advice from Gromett and tacr2man about electrics and plumbing. Always looking for more people to annoy in conversation ?.

No I intend to work part time instead ?
P.s. So far we've spent £10k.....which includes most of the expensive bits, another 4-5k should do it.
