I have seen many people chaining the drivers seat up
I thought I would try another way with the available hole in the seat base plate to try a alarm lock originally made for a disc lock
Well…. I love it fits like a glove very reasonable on price with keys and a spare bag
It just slid it in place then locked it in and now my seat is facing towards the habitation and fully locked
The alarm is very loud
So if this can help anyone out here’s some images

I had a busy day yesterday getting everything installed I have collected for better security
If this can help anyone here’s what I did
First I fitted window & door alarms to all windows and large sky lights & lockers these are brilliant
Then as seen above the seat base alarm
Peddle lock I did last week
I have also fitted the heosafe door locks these are brilliant and so easy to fit
For the habitation locks it’s milenco also a easy fit
I had a friend come fit the invisible immobiliser & tracker

This is the sound for the above alarms I have attached to all windows
You can’t see them and a switch turns them off while you are using the van
But on the drive I harm them so all this kit is just a deterrent to make the job harder and slow them down

I agree.

We have also used one for the last couple of years.

It says the alarm goes off if it detects movement in the MH ?

Presumably you'd fit that alarm and leave it fitted for a few days if you were parked up on a campsite ?

Would it not be going off with people moving around in the MH and other events which might cause the MH to rock ? Such as wind ?

it hasn’t gone off once for me buddy only when you turn the seat to touch it
But tbh I only fit it when I’m leaving the motorhome on a site going out for the day or while this is on my drive way
While I’m in the motorhome I lock the new locks on the cab door and fit the peddle lock this doesn’t really need to go on the seat base while you are in it surly

Here's a nice long thread on locking the driver's seat with a motorbike disc lock through the baseplate.

🤷‍♂️

So what's the shrugged shoulders all about then?

Thought you might like to have a look at how others have gone about securing the driver's seat.
Didn’t mean nothing by it …. the shrugged shoulders if could write from my point meant … shit I missed that thread , otherwise I wouldn’t have posted because it looks like it’s been posted already

Okey dokey, looks like I got the wrong end of the stick. :giggle:

The linked thread was before you became a Funster and I imagined that you may not have seen it and thought you might be interested in how others had gone about it even to the stage of having window stickers made.

Don't worry about posting something on a subject that's already been posted about, as that's par for the course on the forum, and usually, the new post brings something new in it or a subject that others may have missed before.
