No necessarily true. When I cook fish in our kitchen at home, with the extractor fan on AND the window open I can still smell it the next day and the day after. If it's smelly it ain't fresh.
But that's what extractor fans are for and a blast from an air freshener helps afterwards.

... a but who could possibly get fed up of the aroma of cooked bacon .... mmmmmmmm. We cook smelly things outside, on the Safari Chef. I have cooked calamari indoors, and that wasn't too bad. On the whole, I think fatty food, like bacon, is probably the worst. It seems to linger for days. Always best to cook it outside.

I've just bought one of these so that I don't have to cook smelly stuff in the van.

You just fry it you don't eat itThat sound disgusting.
Were they undercooked? We either use an outdoor camping stove or, if we're on hook-up, the multicooker. Only once did we cook moules in the van and suffered for weeks afterwards!
Just searched for 'round fat catcher' - this is what Google offered.two piece metal plate /fat catcher from Lidl (£4.99)

We use them in the van as well . Very effective after a curry.I find the “Chef’s Candle” from Lakeland great at eliminating smells and orours made during cooking.
Very effective after a curry.
