Where and when is the best time and place in Scotland to see the northern lights pls.

as said, there is no 'best' place, but generally the north east coast has the best views, looking north east

I follow above and receive alerts but despite following the alerts north had never seen an aurora till Norway this September, which is definitely my suggestion to you for next year, even if you see one in Scotland, Norway or much further north will be just so much better, but you still need to get lucky (y)

but if I was up there and got an alert I would head to Lossiemouth and park here

There were a few sightings from North Cumbria last week, I got the alert but thought the full moon would mask them, I was wrong, loads of sightings that night.
