Hi guys, I've just been told i can't upgrade my breakdown cover with the camping and caravan club to european cover as my van is over 20 years old. (It's a 1996 kontiki) Can anyone with an older van tell me who they have cover with please. Also what it costs would be useful.

We insured our 1991 Winnebago through Adrian Flux.. Can't give you the quote, but the cost was not unreasonable. We got breakdown with the RAC, which is on length of MH rather than age.

Thanks for the suggestions, ADAC seems a bit of a faf and Nationwide looks great but means changing banks (which I might do in the future as the benefits with look great).
After reading some of the similar threads I've gone with LV Britania Rescue, £134 for excellent cover for a whole year. Fingers crossed I never use it !

Adac, takes less than 5 minutes on phone, to join, costs less than 90€ a year, no age limits, any vehicle you're travelling in, in all EU countries and all countries bordering the Med... lots more than just breakdowns covered.

I read recently ADAC were going to stop covering UK vans completely due to problems with their UK agents...the AA.
Sure I read it on here.

You probably did. . But it's quite incorrect. No suggestion that they would stop operating in the UK.
