I had been looking forward to getting out and about a bit.

I had been looking forward to getting out and about a bit.
Me too, and still plan to as far as possible.
I`ll be looking for a rock to hide under in the Scotish Highlands (y)

Seriously, this is going to have a massive impact in all sorts of ways and this all seems to have engulfed us without warning just as UK was looking forward with optimism after the brexit nonsense was out of the way.
But I think we have to spare a thought for those now stranded away from home and those with their livelhoods at risk.
It must be truly scary for them, I know I`m thankful to be safely at home, as are all my family.

Boris will fix it all after all our scientists are mich better than the rest of the worlds lol

P.s...there will be no money left for those new nurses and police he promised.....and the nhs might have to be sold after all as no one could predict the Coronavirus

9 years of forcing hardship on the poor and elderly yet folk think he has their best interests at heart now lol

Gonna save a fortune in pensions next year

I wondered how long before this became a political thread and Boris got the blame for cv it makes me smile no matter which thread a certain few predictably make into a political.
I have had to wonder after all this talk of a united Europe. its very quickly become separate country's.
Getting back to the OP I really will find it frustrating that we can't get out and about in the van, but I'm sure lots of jobs around the bungalow and.garden will be done.

Oh dear,,, I guess you're one of those voters who think that Jeremy and his sidekick Communist Chum would have saved the UK from the Covid19 virus,,, restored our place as a "servant" to the Rulers of Europe, and continued down the road of EU "supplicant" for evermore,,,
Yep,,, rite on Borr,,,
Boris isn't God,,, but he's a whole lot more desirable than Mr Corbyn.
In my humble opinion, of course.

He acts on his advisors.
I did wonder why some of these countries were allocating huge budgets, billions and billions to this.
Now we know why.
What else are they not telling us?

Dont worry as all old people and sickies will be dead, NHS will be relieved from its burdon and wont need much investment. and in fact investment can be reduced.

Was it moses who passed on the message floods pestilence what else was there raining frogs or cats and dogs?.

It's amazing you type one thing and folk read something completely different

I didn't blame boris for corona virus

And everything in life is political

What I said was a conservative government with a track record of not caring for the vulnerable and the sick isn't what you want in the current situation

Unless you wear blinkers its pretty obvious to look at the mans long list of failings and see he's not got a clue

It's only those with that superior British attitude that think british scientists have and better idea how to deal with this any different from the rest of the world

Only 36% of the uk trust boris

Its amazing considering he just won an election ain't it lol

Mmmmm, well we live in a democratic society and the country at the polls trusted him enough to hand him the baton

So far he’s rubbing along ok in my humble opinion and as politics is a personal view point many will have differing views

From a CV perspective it’s forever moving sands and at the moment considered responses seem to be thought through....

Some persons will always throw rocks at what’s being or not being done in a timely fashion; plus, blame aspects of society for their misfortune, rather than standing tall and taking responsibility

Crack on Boris, you’ve still got my backing mate

Btw - two thirds of the year to go.....

update - or as rightly pointed out by Tam 3/4 (head appropriately hung in shame with pointed hat with D on....)

I cannot print what my 70 year old partner said when I told her she was 'quarantined' in the flat for four months ...... :swear::swear::swear::swear:

and that I would have to go away to Scotland in the motorhome on my own for the summer :dance2::dance2::dance2:
(I am her toy-boy, of only a couple of years)

but I will try and arrange for the neighbours to drop food parcels at the gate once in a while

I can imagine what she said, same as me*************

I just bought some toilet rolls and pasta!

I was in the village co op,, there was 3 old girls goingfor the same shelf,, I took one out with the trolley, one crumpled with a smash on the head from a french stick, and the other took an elbow to the chin,, she took it well though, tried to counter with the salt shaker she had hold of, but I was too quick, grabbed a tin of beans and finished her off!!

I’m good now!!

Well done , that's the spirit.. ;)

No it isn't. But a few on here can and do make anything political when they want to. Very boring and off-putting for the majority of us to have their political opinions spouted on threads which are not about politics.

The best advice my Dad gave to me was to never discuss politics or religion, because it will be a dialogue of the deaf.

This was going to be our year, we are restricted by caring duties in how far we can travel, but for the first time we are able to go away most weeks for a few days. With cv we will not find it so easy now
But while this is inconvenient, it is little in comparison with people who are going to loose business they have spent years building up, people who will loose their jobs and possibly their homes let alone those who may loose their lives.

Would have thought she would have appreciated the peace and quiet ??

Seeing the response from the minister on the Andrew Marr show regarding the question of keeping 70 year olds in isolation for 4 months, he didn't say no, but skirted around the question as most do, I doubt that most 70 year olds would take kindly to be told to stay indoors and would suggest that most would not "obey" any dictates to do so.

Agree, I suggest many 70 year olds will say "stuff qurenteen, I'll live my life and take my chances". Especially the fit and healthy ones.

We have some over 70s still working at our company - how does that work then? If you told them they could stay at home and the company would still pay their wages I am sure they would but otherwise they will still want their wages (I know at least one of them comes in as she is on her own and likes the company of the staff)

Took 2hours in queue of over 600 on internet to change my Staysure health insurance from April to August, hoping the worst will be over by then bearing in mind I'll have to isolate for 4 months!
