@Dazzlin staying another night See you Friday
Not missing anything here. Wet n windy here today!
With a little sun......
Oh what a shame!
You'll just have to come back to the UK then
If it carries on like this, i’ll be driving east .
Cabin fever setting in it’s not the same drinking beer in the van lol, I can’t recall having such a long bout of inclement weather at Tafroute, another greyish start to the day, hopefully the sun will show its face sometime today.. maybe it’s time to flip the coin the tune should i stay or should i go ringing in my ears.
Should be improving on Wednesday
Might get round to saying when it’s not so cold and wet.
We’re going to hang on for the Almond Festival
We’ll be hanging around till the Festival also, it’s forecast to be 25c by weekend

Splendid beer’oclock yesterday evening, and a big thanks to Ali n Tim for introducing us to the delites of toffee vodka, wow will be getting plenty of that back in Spain, mucho gracios,
Weather now improving, here in Spain. Looks like everywhere has had a bit of a shit time this year. Moroc is as good a place weather wise as anywhere else and once the heat turns on will be a great place to be. I think we will return next winter.
Inshallah we'll be returning too. Had enough of the crap European weather!
We are planning to spend 2-3 months in Morocco September/October/November 2018.
This will be our first time in Morocco and it could be great to have the company of other motorhomers on the trip.
thats a very quiet time for m,homers , plus november is a rainy season .
mind its nicer when there isnt so many in some ways .
sept can be quite hot .
have fun though and be on your guard .
Fairly quiet first night at 'Almond-Fest'.
The pics were taken early while there was some light but it got busier later. Music? went on 'til after midnight but only faint up at the camping.
The big thing is the way they have pulled out all the stops to get the town looking good.
New pavements and streetlights, new roundabout and paving around the Lion, the old park/tree area flattened and replaced with paving, new seats and a kids play area, and the swimming pool is finished!!!
Brilliant pics, just what the Dr ordered. Brings back some good memories.
Thanks for posting pictures @Dazzlin
I will bore you with more pics.
Those who know Tafraoute may recognise places - or not.
They have certainly been busy just in the month I have been here!
2nd pic is the FINISHED (nearly) swimming pool to include a cafe!
Nowt changes on site though.
Pic of my new mat
And the chicken shack?
KFC doesn't change. Been a couple of times.
Still got the begging cats!
It is mainly the area round the dual carriageway and the 'Fest' they have done.
After having problems with the trailer on the way down to Morocco and then a fire in the fridge freezer we stopped at a fantastic English type campsite at Los Lobos. We arrived on the of 28 February we got a full service pitch at nine euros with electricity and water. The pitches are wide enough for the car trailer motor home and the awning. We normally use the shower in the van but we have a disabled shower less than 30 m from the van and there are only three other motorhomes on site and they have their own block. The weather has been fantastic apart from 2 cloudy day with a spot of rain actually most welcome. The campsite is run by an English couple, the ground staff are the most hilarious characters that you can wish to met they look funny when you look at them because they walk bent backwards which comes from bending over backwards to help all the time. I could quite get signal on my dish no trouble they cut some of the trees down. We are so impressed with the site 15 minutes from shops restaurants and the sea we decided to give Morocco a miss this year as we feel so comfortable in this site what more could you ask. It even has lending library with videos and DVDs all free. it will be a big toss up between here for Morocco next year we been here four weeks and plan on spending another couple months. Sorry to miss meeting up with other frontages in Morocco we did bump into I think they called the old couple in a car park near here they just come back from Portugal and said the weather was horrendous
Could you tell me what the name of the site is please.
