Photo is a bit naff camera wouldn't focus in the dark, realised this time they are Cattle Egrets, noticed them in the fields with the cattle on the way to the Aire.

Had a bit of a problem with the van today may be an ABS ECU problem.

In Spain at the moment and the van through a bit of a wobbly today. A bit of background first, a few ago months at 14000 miles ago I swapped the spare onto RHS front, the other side had about 4mm tread depth. On a few a occasions I have had the LHS front wheel tramping and the traction control...

Anyway got the pressure cooker out and made a goulash from some very nice beef from a local shop.

Today we walked the Ruta del Cares from Poncebos to Cain 16 miles of mountain tracks, totally knackered now.

The Boss's rear end.

The footpath origin was down to worker access to build the canal for the small Hydro station at Poncebos.

At Cain a well earned beer a bargin ½ Lt beer & large coffee €4.20
Only another 8 miles back now.

Came a few miles back down to Las Arenas as no phone signals at all where we were last night.

And then I got dragged up another flipping great hill to the Chateau. Built in the 12th century and has been owned privately since the 1960's and the last 50 years it has been restored to it's original condition.
Richard the 1st conquered it and lived here, I'm not going to go into the history as most Funsters if the dementia hasn't set in, they are bright enough to look it up themselves.

Near Chaves, beautiful spot by the river, behind a restaurant. Restaurant closed this week re-opens tomorrow, sign on door saying campers welcome to stop.
Trying to get the boss to stay another night as the restaurant has excellent reviews.

All on our own, perfect & very hot
