Well I think we are, crossed to Dieppe this morning not really sure where we are going but sort of fancy finishing off the trip down through Portugal we started last Oct/Nov.

First stop found a little gem of an Aire at Courville-Sur-Eure and it's the right price for a FLT.

Looks fab.
I’m envious!
I’ve spent today putting 15 fence panels/posts up with the help of two workmates, so hope you enjoy your travels!

Good grief your washing will hardly be dry from your last trip ?

Enjoy.

Martin
I'm on the naughty step. The German trip was a last minute thing. Apparently if we went to Germany I had agreed to come back from our autumn trip early on the 21st Oct. Forgot all about that when I booked the return ferry for 31st.
Had the evidence thrust in front of me on a scrape of paper I'd written the dates on.

Rule one: Never put anything in writing for a woman.

Stayed there last year. Good market on Saturdays. A French lady filling up couldn’t turn the tap off. Hosed down her van and ours before the flow stopped!

You’ve been warned ?? ( taken from a local group in Portugal)

GNR/ICNF JOINT OPERATION AGAINST WILD CAMPING

On 18th September the GNR Coastal Control Unit, through the Aljezur Coastal Control Sub-Detachment, issued 92 caravan / wild camping offence notices near the towns of Sines, Milfontes and Aljezur.

In a joint operation with the Institute for Conservation of Nature and Forests, the GNR identified and assessed 92 motorists for staying overnight outside the legally authorised places in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park area.

The notices can result in a fine of up to 4 thousand euros.

Such camping, in addition to the risk to public health resulting from the debris that is left on site, as well as a fire risk through use of BBQs outside authorised areas, is a nuisance to other holiday makers who have difficulty accessing both the beaches and car parks in the waterfront areas. It also impacts on the local economy by taking away revenue from authorised campsites / caravans parks intended for this purpose.

The GNR will continue to monitor the situation to ensure caravaners and campers adopt more responsible and environmentally friendly behaviour.

Stopped at the private Aire outside the town lost all my street cred, having to pay €9.50 inc., EHC & Service & WiFi not been able to get that to work.

I’m so jealous, we don’t collect our new van until next week and then can only bring her straight home to register, mot and insure etc. I’d love to be wandering around in the Moho again. Hope all of you over there have a fabulous time and enjoy every moment.

Indeed, I love motorhoming now, can’t remember why I didn’t! Think martins retirement might have something to do with it.
