I had great service from these guys and left them a 5 star Google Review. My second order has been an unmitigated disaster where they appear to simply have no clue and a week after paying they still haven't resolved an issue, caused by them requiring an additional £10 to cover postage, which I paid.

Anyone else have any experience good or bad with these guys?

I'm sure, and I did on my first purchase of a MaxxAir and I praised them for it. This second one has been incompetence personified and all cased by them demanding another £10 (which I paid) after I'd made a purchase. It's been one of those, I can't believe how incompetent a company can be, type situations.

I wanted to fit a Maxxfan but was unsure whether I had enough space. When I phoned them they took one out of a box and measured it for me. As it wouldn't fit, I subsequently ordered a Mini Heki which arrived promptly.

Like I said, they gave me great service on my first order and have royally messed up my second, compounded by poor comms and a seeming reluctance to take ownership of the problem they created.

I've ordered loads of stuff from them and never had any issues. Jacksons & Clearcut have been my go-to online shops

Please Resolve This
You said: Guys, I am pulling my hair out with this order. Despite spending some time on the phone with one of your customer services representatives and explaining that you had requested money from the wrong PayPal account, and I had paid you the additional £10 via the correct PayPal account you have a re-sent a request for money from the incorrect PayPal account, I have now cancelled this request. I have also requested PayPal reimburse the £10 I sent you on the 14th of September from the correct PayPal account (*****@something.com), which they are now doing. I made the point when I called that the outstanding amount requested has been requested from the wrong account and you assured me it hadn't, then proceeded to send a reminder for the £10 from the wrong account. As PayPal are now reimbursing my £10 and am happy to pay you the £10 over the phone via card so you can despatch my items. ************. I eagerly await your call. Dave

Update
You said: I have now cancelled your incorrect money request to ******@something.com. I have raised a dispute with PayPal for the £10 payment I made on the 14th September. This only leaves us to agree on the best way for me to pay the additional £10 shipping fee you have requested, you can then send my items.

It Isn't Pending

OK
You said: Very disappointing but please send me the PayPal request for another £10. Suggest you review your courier of choice, Aboyne is not in the middle of nowhere and other couriers do not gouge people who live here. cheers d

Re: Really?
Jacksons Leisure Supplies said: Good Morning David, I have chased this with our logistics team and they have investigated different pricings with various couriers but unfortunately the price you have been charged does not reflect the price the couriers charge to ship to this postcode. We are currently investigating why this has not been raised in the past as this is postcode falls under surcharge area with our courier If you could please advise whether you would like to continue with this purchase and I can arrange at your request a PayPal request for additional payment, our bank details to make payment directly into the bank or a custom order link for just the postage cost requested. I look forward to your response, Kind Regards *******

Really?
You said: Hi, I bought a much larger item from you a couple of weeks ago - a Maxxair - and the carriage was normal. We don't live in the Islands or Highlands and never get charged extra for postage. Can you clarify why this, a much smaller item, is an additional £10? cheers d

Re: Order #158143
Jacksons Leisure Supplies said: Good morning David, Thank you for your purchase with Jackson's Leisure. Unfortunately, the item that you have ordered requires an additional payment in order to cover delivery costs. This may be because of your location, the size of the product, or other unforeseen causes. With these factors in mind, we will need to ship this order with a specialist courier, which will cost an extra £10. Alternatively, you can choose to arrange for your own third-party courier to collect your order from us and deliver it to your address. However, this would have to be arranged independently by yourself. I can also cancel and refund your order if required—let me know which option sounds best for you. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I look forward to your reply. Kind regards ********

I vowed over 15 years ago never to use them again following poor service. Earlier this year I needed a part urgently and Jacksons were the nearest supplier. Against my vow, I took the plunge and drove over to Jacksons. They were good to me. Part in stock at a competitive price. They are now in my good books!

In the end I phoned them to pay the £10 additional postage. My order status page now shows this.

I also placed an order with them and was asked for an additional £10.00 for postage. I cancelled the order as I refuse to pay extra postage for my post code which is mainland UK and not in the highlands. Got a refund no bother from them (they were very helpful) and went back on line where I got the items substantially cheaper and with free postage.

Today, the 26th September, they called to ask me to make the additional £10 payment I paid on Friday last week. I pointed out I had paid it, which they confirmed.

Then, at 17:00 someone else called from Jacksons to advise the fixing kit for the Micro Heiki is out of stock.

I think this is genuinely a case of "you could not make this up".
