Whoooopeeee.
It used to be here -Broken Link Removed- but .....
Also useful for weighbridges.

Wow , a whole new ball game that will calm some of the knockers.(y)(y):giggle:
Not me, as I still wouldn't trust it.

There is a low bridge in P/boro, much lower than most on that map, and right on an industrial estate accessed by HGVs 24/7, and guess what? It's not even on the map. 🤷‍♂️

However, It's on my trusty Truck
Sat Nav map. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Fair comment Jock.. however,

Google maps compiled by users are only as good as the compilers knowledge .. which is never going to be 100% comprehensive ... and depends on others, such as yourself, for reporting omissions and or errors... by doing so you add to the usefulness of the map.. and may save a trucker from a P45

there is a Facebook page

Okay Jim, I've done my bit by reporting the above low bridge to the author of the map. You keep an eye on the map please, (Junction of Celta Rd and Morley Way), to see if and when it is updated.

Incidentally, a coach and bus company I did a spot of driving for, sent a new lad on a school run in a double decker. When he asked about the route, he was told, "Don't worry, the kids will put you right"...............just as I had been told many a time. ;)
The blooming kids guided him down minor routes to Celta Rd, through a housing estate, knowing that the bus never went that way normally, and he found himself confronted by the low bridge. The little barstewards. Fortunately he was on the ball before any possible impact.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Just checked locally - shows a low bridge on the A52 into Derby at Spondon - no bridge there but there is one on a road below - cos I know

Obviously still a work in progress.
But a good start.

As only 3 Public Weigh bridges shown for the whole of London
(Even Google maps has more)

How do you report a correction ?

Next thing it will need is 7' width restrictions and roads unsuitable for a HGV

That’s good for finding Weighbridge’s.
Cheers

Not sure how to report to author?
Patchway railway bridge marked here

But is now double decker proof like this

Had a quick look very local to me.
2 x truckstop slightly out of place, one is almost in my garden
and a local low bridge not shown, met a foreign truck there yesterday trying to back up..

Can't see a way to amend / report.

Not sure they still support / maintain this given the broken link in previous post.

Would suggest you get the kettle / bacon butties on then! :giggler:

Actually it was my next door neighbour who until earlier this year owned one of them, The Truckers rest on the A5 here in Cannock.
Great breakfast but never got a free one :crying:only a cuppa.

Think that may be when they stopped maintaining but let's see what you get back from FB .

Seems a good idea but not that complete, it has the 11ft bridge if you turn the wrong way from the showground at Shrewsbury, but not the 13,6" one next to it, and its missing the bridges around Craven Arms. I havent compared it to my Truck Atlas yet.

Hence National Tyres in attendance. ;)

I once had to lower the air suspension on both the trailer and the unit, to crawl under a low bridge which wasn't signposted on the approach route. :(

There is a low bridge on a road near the CAMC Site at Gowerton, whereupon I have to lower the suspension on the MH, to make sure I clear it.

Cheers,

Jock. :)
