A kind offer Martin but we're going to continue North and may even have one more night in koblenz before going to Cologne and planning on two stops between there and zeebrugge as it was 250 miles from the port to koblenz.
A nice old Dutch man who lives locally and worked two years in England so spoke very well, told us of a little Tai cafe in Chochem and he said to try the number 34
All dishes are €5 and he said just get one to start as it may be enough. I think 34 is like a mixed meat special ?

Thought you would have a back up somehow, we were in Cochem just opposite the Merc garage and near a Thai place, but might have been massage. You will need your jacks (that's hydraulic) , and it gets busy, there is space for three vans or so slightly upstream out of town.

I just moved my van forwards to make it easier for a N&B to reverse in.
They spoke English and were grateful, they revealed they had only rented it two hours earlier. Van looks new so I wonder what sort of money changes hands to borrow one
It says Niesman caravaning no.21 on the over windscreen but it is s 4* Concorde credo

Google says Concorde is its own company so must Niesman caravaning be and nothing to do with N&B

Yes we stayed there last year but only because we missunderstood the signage here which simply means you only pay between those hours

Where you are was full when we got there so we had to go over the bridge.
We managed to get in right to the far end at Cologne,backing onto the park,poor dog didn't know which rabbit to chase!
The cathedral is just incredible,good job we left it standing as a landmark for the bombers during the war!

Niesmann camping is the original Mr Niesmann before they sold out to Hymer, he opened his camper shop and Concorde dealership about 300 metres from the N+B factory.

How much? Don't know but the Credo is quite nice, useable size but still on the IVECO chassis although it is the lighter 5t but still RWD twin wheel axle etc.

Back at the factory Stellplatz now as a friend is parked here and wanted to borrow a screwdriver.

Short walk to the river

The first thing you come across along the river towards town is the hydro electric dam which now has a museum dedicated to the centuries of evolution of the Mosel to its present day canalised state with I think 28 sets of locks
The dam also incorporates a fish pass with viewing Windows
Adult entry is €3
The surprising thing is that all information is provided in German AND English with audio too

All the Mosel locks are already running at over capacity and there are plans to double up on some locations
Cruise ships are given priority over goods and some vessels have a very long wait. The ships are built to have little more than a few inches clearance either side

So glad we came here today, there is so much to see and do so may stay a few days
Zoo and flora park adjacent for starters
Just got to give the cable car a go

Just a point to note about the service point
There isn't a grey waste grate, you will need a waste hose extension to dump down the Elsan point
If you don't have this make sure you arrive empty
Or bucket it in the bushes when no funsters are watching

That's the cylinder block from the last Popemobile I think, a Vee 18. If I remember correctly it was a rework from a late series Tiger tank requested by the last incumbent to remind him of his days in the Hitler youth, I'm sure @Tootles will have some more info on it
