Great idea you could also have a section for wine consumption by country

A list of useful web pages, telephone numbers and organisations etc. For example ACSI, CC (CMC now :) ), Autogas2000, Dometic, Webasto, etc etc. Of course they can all be found with a quick Google. But if they were organised into groups it would be more useful. So: ferry companies could be one group and include possible deals (the over 60's discount from Newhaven for example). Dealers recommended by members? Perhaps including those who have been used to import vehicles.

Seeing all these ideas coming forward and most are very good
Seeing the extra work for @Jim already
Anybody with skills in this area to help him out should he need it ?

If there is anything you need a hand with for an average computer user please ask. If i can i will

Also agree with some cost implications for this. Lets all face it 15 nicker is dirt cheap.

How about dimensions of the vehicle
- inside the front cover
plus
room for emergency phone numbers (UK & foreign '999' numbers, health & vehicle insurance, breakdown assist, tracker, and emergency checklist) inside the back cover

Personally prefer wire-bound for ease of use but expect this would increase the cost by too much. [EDIT I see the journal is already wirebound!]

Your efforts much appreciated Jim, thank you.

Just as a slight side step @Jim Have you ever thought of producing an app that would give sites, dump stations, petrol stations etc.

The NZMCA do one in NZ and its brilliant.

A charge could be made for this.

Just a thought

How about a calendar page(s) to help schedule the next adventure.
Space for emergency contact relatives details.
Good luck pulling it together.

How about using a loose leaf binder system with additional sheets downloadable to print off as and when required. We could keep down costs by supplying our own binders. Also some members will use more pages than others, and it could be constantly updated if other information is suggested or maps inserted.

Great idea, Jim - thanks for taking this on. My details duly recorded.

I did wonder if you had thought of making it a loose leaf affair, so that updates could be issued/added as time goes by, and requirements/environments change? Just a thought.

Keep up the great work - we all really do appreciate it!!!

Think the overall concept is great, Jim.

Like the idea from xsparks.
Download the pages you want \ need. Store softcopy.
Print hardcopy if you want keeping in mind the environmental impact of the paper.
Update process "simpler".
No postage costs.
Need mechanism to restrict to members only.
How do you cover off the needs \ desires of advertisers?

I've signed up, thank you James. How about a page or two of @old-mo's best jokes to while away a dull evening, on second thoughts any of his jokes as none qualify for best. :smirk:

The Fuel record does not need the various road types IMO. reading from left to right date, litres, cost per litre, total cost, mileometer and MPG if you wished. We also keep a record of LPG on a spare Fuel page with the layout much the same as the Fuel without the mileage. (y)
It would be useful to have a 'number of days' column though so you could work out how much you need daily ... and how long you can 'last'!
