The Ayatollah being one going back to the CB era.
Motorhoming since 1972. Self builds include a Bedford Duple Vista coach. A Bedford CF Dormobile Freeway with all new high top roof and internal layout.nand a VW Danbury Bay Window a similar job for father-in-law.
Wifes, so far just the one Janet for 52 years.
Kids. One of each . Thats two ok? Charles and Amanda.
Work. Design engineer for europes biggest forklift company Linde Material Handling. Previously Lansing Bagnall where I was an apprentice.
Hobbies. Motorhomes, motorbikes and eating. Plus engineering. Retired 13 years back but still work for the firm as a insultant.
Biggest asset. The wife then my modesty. You can check out my patents with google if you use my full name!!
Biggest liability. Impatience and prefer engineering to people, far more logical!!
Downsized our Concorde Megatardis a year back to a deminuitive Hymer MLI 540. And trailer for two motorbikes and riding gear.
Most recent anoyance Toyota. Who didnt want to know when my Landcruiser threw a big end at only 74000 miles. 13 years old and mine from new. Scrapper.
Next venture out with the motorhome is VanBitz at Cornish Farm where the alarm wires that a rodent chewed through will be repaired.
Hope to see lots of you at the Warners shows this year.

I was brassed of when the Mk1 Motorhome Facts went commercial so loitered a long time before comming here. Jim seems an OK guy so weez here!!

Dabhand' what are you doing? I waffled on about myself at the start of this post . You want more? OK Radio ham and instructor. Callsign G4ODM. before that CB rigdoctor The Ayatollah. Legs rubbish as had Polio at age 3 but good with wheels. 2, 3 4 or 6 or 10, 12 18.
Did motorcycle trials with home made outfit (3) Cars many (4) HGV class 1 ( lots with an artic!!) Previous tardis had 6.
Left school with just one O level in General Science. Failed the rest. So worked hard at Basingstoke Tech and then Farnborough Tech where my specialised endorsement subject was a new thing called Transistors.
Geranium to start with but silly cone later.

Why do most people feel the need to use a false name on this and other forums?

Just one O level, at least I got a C.S.E. In woodwork:)

Psudonyms are one thing Clive, meeting some members will never happen.
Buttons, for one, has been a member for years and NOBODY has EVER met him....as far as anyone is aware at least..
