Not sure if this is OK to post, I hope so.

"Billy", a 22 month old CockerPoo, is owned by someone I work with, they don't want him anymore so I'm trying to find him a good home...

He's intelligent and active, if a little cautious of people (he tends to go very submissive when called), he returns to his name at extreme distance, he's got a happy, cheerful nature and is great with other dogs.

He stands about the same height as a large Border Terrier.

He just needs a home where he gets suitable, love, attention, patience and exercise.

Any questions I'll try to answer, PM me if you would like to meet him.

Cheers

He does, but I guarantee he's only 22 monthis, if you look close it's not the side of his chops that are gray, its the front that are white...

I will see if I can get a copy of his papers to upload tomorrow ... (y)

There is a Facebook group called Doodles for rehoming UK. They are brilliant at rehoming dogs and they help vet potential new owners.
He'd definitely find a good new home through them. Good luck.

@RedFrame , My neighbour is desperate to adopt a dog. Her much loved collie had to be pts a few months ago. Any dog that goes to her would have the best care.
Can I pm you tomorrow after I speak to her ? Not sure how we'd get him from Chester to Devon though......

PLEASE PLEASE make sure he gets an appropriate home, as not everyone will be able to cope with the energy of a young cockerpoo. If you struggle, speak to the local cockerpoo rescue. there are specialists all over the uk and they know what they are doing

no insult intended, but i have worked in dog rescue and rehoming. If a dog is being rehomed at 22 months, it is generally behaviour or the owner cant cope with the energy level of a young dog. this often leads to dogs bouncing from home to home till they reach their forever home or a chucked into one of the big general rescues where 50% are dead in 7 days. too many dogs and too few suitable homes

Got offered an old English sheepdog once, woman got it as a pup for Xmas, her dream dog, by 6 months or so it wasn't her dream dog anymore. Familiar story to many of you I expect.

@Hollyberry please let us know any updates from your neighbour. I have my View attachment 191319

I've sent 2 PMs, included my mobile number but heard nothing yet. My neighbour has fallen in love with the pics and would love to meet the dog. I've worked out I can drive her ( she doesn't drive) halfway if the owners will drive the other half. She came over to chat today and looked happier than I've seen her in a long time. She's a really sensible dog owner, walked my 2 for 2 weeks after I twisted my ankle. My Holly isn't great with other dogs but needs to run. Sue managed her perfectly and didn't have one problem with her in 28 walks.
I have everything crossed too. Met a cockapoo when I was out dog walking today and questioned the owner on their characters, exercise needs etc and I'm sure Billy would love living with Sue. He'll get plenty of attention and exercise and she's a very calm person with dogs.
I'll let you all know as soon as I hear something.

@RedFrame is it possible to know if Billy still needs a new home ? I feel awful about telling my neighbour now !
If I could just know it would help. Thanks.

@Jim, are you able to help with getting a message through to the OP any other way?
