Anyone planning on driving south now France has opened?

He is 12 so they have only had a single vaccination so considered not vaccinated to travel to most other countries unless they have two. The second is coming but you have to wait 3 months.
Thanks, our eldest grandson is 13, I have booked a trip with him but he’s not had his second vaccination yet.

They can book online the 2nd one and the dates they get are 12 weeks from the first one and need to request a covid pass letter as under 16 do not currently have access to the NHS covid pass apps.

We are on Wedensday LeShuttle stopping in the Baie de Somme aire Wednesday night, going for La Celle Saint Avant Thursday, Biarritz Friday, BeniCarlo Saturday.....

I'll be back April for the racing season kick-off Snetterton April 2nd.

We’re giving it serious thought.
We’ve been 18 months UK locked.
Anyone else thinking of going over soon?

The Stena Ferry tickets I booked back in 2019 have been moved on and moved on.
Same date as before, just now it's 2022!
24 months later to the day.

If we hadn't been booked up for baby sitting, we would be on our way now........ we are now looking at the Pompey / Caen on the 31st, then drive down to Irun and across into Spain....... can't wait !!!

Booked last week, so confident (hopeful) was I of improvement in situation.
Off at end of March, (Belgium/Holland) start of May (Vercors) and back end of June (Austria or Northern Germany) thanks to getting hold of 3 Frequent Traveller tickets to be used by end of June

Booked for 17th Feb on the Galicia - Portsmouth to Santander - with a pet cabin. We plan on spending a couple of months in Spain/Portugal before driving slowly back through France.

It feels like an age since the last time we were able to do this. 🙂

Spain was cancelled over new year so I think it's time I got my finger out and started organising my 'Band of Brothers' trip.

I do need work to get a bit quieter before I start booking anything though.

Booked Tunnel for next Friday - holding our breath through France, and exhaling when we get to Spain - I don’t think they have Covid there - not heard anything anyway  - then straight to Party Central where Funsters are already paving the way!:party2:

Just to let you know everyone wears a mask in Spain, even walking along the beach promenade. Today in Spain, there were 163,000 cases of Covid, and 139 deaths. In France there were today 332,000 cases of covid, so.....bring your masks, or buy them here cheap enough.

We had a credit with Eurotunnel that ran out on 7th January so have booked for as far in advance as possible. Hoping by September we will be able to travel with pre-Covid conditions but……

The  pointed to the fact that I know that Spain has Covid, but we aren’t hearing as much about them as France, and to maybe lighten the mood.

The van is packed with masks, lateral flow tests and everything else Covid related, and we will of course party responsibly, but we intend to enjoy ourselves while we’re there. So the :party2: stays!
