Sat-Nav will take you through some tight spots.... so best to follow their directions...

hi all, yesterday chris and i had a drive round some of the various routes from the south to southport. we have come up with what we think is the most accessible route, it is motorway half of the distance then a good road the rest of the way bringing you out directly opposite the pleasureland carpark. there are no weight restrictions, bridges or small town centres to manouver just a good clear run.
EXIT THE M6 AT JUNCTION 26 ONTO THE M58,DONT COME OFF AT THE FIRST SOUTHPORT EXIT WHICH IS JUNCTION 3.KEEP GOING, AT THE END OF THE MOTORWAY KEEP IN THE RIGHT THROUGH 4 SETS OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON YOUR RIGHT YOU WILL SEE A TOTAL FITNESS GYM, TAKE YOUR NEXT RIGHT SIGN POSTED FORMBY A565. AND SOUTHPORT ATTRACTIONS THIS WILL THEN TAKE YOU ONTO THE A565 STRAIGHT INTO SOUTHPORT, AFTER THE GRAPES PUB TURN RIGHT STILL ONTO THE A565 FOLLOWING THE SIGNS FOR SOUTHPORT.THIS IS A GOOD ROAD INTO SOUTHPORT.KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU PASS WOODVALE AIRFIELD ON YOUR LEFT, FOLLOW AGAIN SIGNS FOR SOUTHPORT STILL ON A565. Arrived Southport 1pm had a wonder around, nice and warm, now moved to our wild camping spot on the marshes, waiting for the birds to fly in for the night . Looking forward to the meet tomorrow.
