Lots now
We had a change of travel plans are now back in the north west leaving the beautiful welsh coast.
I rang a cl yesterday and got 3 nights booked £15 a night including electric hook up , very happy.
On arrival we have been asked for £16 a night it was a little rude as the statement was it’s cheap, clearly you can afford it, it was definitely £15 but hey ho.
We have to be here otherwise I would have told them to stick it.
Currently sat with every light on and the heating on full whack with every window open, I think I will get my extra £3 worth at least.
In our defence we are drying 3 loads of laundry.
Am I been petty or am I justified.

Agree with you, contracted for £15.00, plus you don’t need any comments.
Why did you not dry at the laundry?
If you are on a CL and it’s dry, why are you drying inside, and putting moisture inside your van?
As for putting heat inside a van you are about to sleep in?
Another thing why do you need EHU in the summer?
I do also agree with you about the price, irrespective of affordability.

All this about £3 🤔😳 spread over three nights 👍

might you have misheard ? I don’t get the you can’t afford it bit, did the owner say that on arrival?

I pour about that in gin every refill, maybe you need to drink more and chill 😁

We didn’t have time to dry as we only had 1 washer/dryer and needed to do 3 loads. we are lucky in the fact that most of it’s on clothesline in the garage area.

When on holiday I expect to be ripped off, so when it happens I take it with a smile, and open another bottle of cider.

Agree its principle, also hate the way CL's, CS's charge the same if you don't want EHU.
We used £5 a night on our own electric during the winter but in the summer it’s normally cheap to have someone on hook up. Unless they are drying a load of clothes with the windows open 😆😆

Same.

In fact one we like charges more for the winter due to electric use which to be fair, I can understand. Still only £11 with electric in the summer and £14 winter.

You were lucky - last CL we stayed at upped the price from £20 to £30 per night if we wanted to use the heater 🤬
In an awning?

If so, I can’t blame them, if not, that’s a bit of a rip off.

Having a big van I have come across this before it’s not the pound a night extra if it had been said at the time of booking you would have been happy to pay it’s the fact they said it after seeing your van,
As you say you will have forgotten it next week 🤣
