I bought an adaptor about 10 years ago, not used it yet although we don't hook up much unless it's in the price.

Also worth getting is a polarity checker some sites are reversed. And a patch lead to change it if it is.

I'm a newbie
Is it the same in France or do I need an adapter?
In the main the sites are same as in UK but still worth getting an adapter. I think I’ve used mine twice now in 4 years. Additionally, if you have 20m cable then worth getting a 10m cable which gives you the option of a 30m length where EHU is miles away! I should also mention whilst we’re on the subject that some UK EHU’s are the plug in and twist type as in no electricity after plugging in but only after turning plug clockwise!
