When I was there last month there were cones everywhere and signs stating that double yellow lines were going in, I got interviewed by a young reporter asking my opinion as he said the council were doing it to encourage people to walk and cycle the the front... 🥴

I said the commerce area won’t like that with all their car parks full up from people wanting to go up the front...

I take it they haven’t done it yet..?
They have modified the whole beach front to give walkers and cyclists plenty of covid free space. Most of the esplanade nearer the harbour is one way but still plenty space to get parked, even today at the busiest I have seen it.

No double yellows that I have seen.

It's a bit drastic in my opinion but I can live with it.

That's a good win. Only thing I have ever won was a discount off a set of bull bars for my mountain bike when I was about 14. It was in a Sunday Post competition.
I used to win lots of good prizes before technology took over. :)

Now you just have to click on a box... no talent needed... and put your email address for them to sell on. :(

Our first foray into the Lakes today for about a year, and we only live ten miles away!

Stopped for a brew on the western end of Bassenthwaite but the leaves were stilll in the way but nicely coloured with a glimse of the water through them!

Ha,ha,ha, Mrs (Dramfineday aka Badknee & Shoulder) thinks I'm bonkers, but having to entertain two granddaughters for quite a few hours a day in recent years, Shaun is the equivalent of recently advertised " Big beetle Bertie". BUT....Lightyears ahead in humour.....a bit like the magic roundabout all those years ago......

I won tickets to go to Edinburgh Castle to see Runrig, in the early 90s tickets plus private box food and drink, then meet up later with band. Dee fell in love with Donny. I just wanted Malcolm’s pipes

Waking up in Upton upon Severn after a night wilding in the car park. Only 10 miles from home but we are having a mini-break. Upton is the nearest thing to an aire. Delightful little town with some good places to eat. £3 for the day to park 100yds from the town centre and the council turn a blind eye to overnighters. For now at least but that could change if persons are not considerate. A van pulled out yesterday evening and behind them was a bag of rubbish. I do hope that they weren’t Funsters. The bin is 20 yards away. Even if they were not responsible surely their lonely brain cell would have stimulated the thought process to transport said litter to said bin. It’s not difficult is it. Anyway our 8yo is learning about the impact of plastic on the environment at school so took zero encouragement to help me do a litter pick of the car park before breakfast. He even found £1.39 in the process. Every good deed. 😎

I really love Upton upon Severn... the townspeople are lovely and one of the chip shops is AMAZING. Couple of nice eating places and good charity shops. In Summer sitting on the river bank with cold drink.

It was one of the towns I considered moving to once but it is a severe flood area. :(

The car park overnight isn't always welcoming. I got a knock on my door at 2.30am once. . asked to move.

View from our door at the Labour Weekend NZ Motorhome Rally at Reefton Racecourse on the West Coast of the South Island. We were in pole position at the end of one of the rows and able to wave at everyone as they arrived. My arm ached after nearly 500 vans drove past. I don't know how the Queen does it!

What could be the last photo from the moho for a while, our penultimate night on route home after 9 weeks touring the midlands and Norfolk. Little Stryne campsite, Borrowash. OH wants a brief meet up tomorrow with her son who isn’t in the best of health, then Northwards staying overnight at-a pub stop then home Thursday morning.
