Fed up of the dismal, grey wet weather in the UK so last minute flights to Málaga and then bus out to Granada. Shame not to take the motorhome, but 12 hours from a miserable West Wales to a cheery Andalusian tapas bar can't be sniffed at! Spent the day basking in the sun in the Alhambra. (Snow on the tops of the Sierra Nevada mountains though). Our third visit over the last 30 years. Still beautiful. (y)

I think Dougal was a bit over-enthusiastic "sorting" his bed out through the night ! The whippet just does the usual "circle round three times, then flop down" but the Pointer likes to "scrape and scratch" a bit first !

How did you manage to get that bird in flight [relatively] sharp when using a long exposure to blur the waves?
It's the clever "computational photography" trickery going on behind the scenes with these Google Pixel phones. "Long exposure" mode isn't really a single long exposure but several shorter exposures that are stacked and blended. It means that you can get good "long exposure" results handheld without a tripod. Quite why the software decided to freeze the bird in flight rather than blur it I don't know. Maybe its learnt that is what is required. These Pixel phones have a specific in-house AI processor. There is very little scope for user intervention and manual control, which is quite annoying at times. It's undeniably clever though and can achieve some decent results with minimal effort or skill!

PS. Good spot by the way. Very observant! 👍

These phones are getting very clever, to make up for their tiny sensor.
Is there a blur motion setting on the Pixel?
I know that Samsung, I have a S22Ultra, use some wizardry to get 'perfect' moon shots.

On an iPhone if you take Live Photos you can edit the exposure to give blurry images

No "blur" mode as such. In terms of Moonshots - Newer Pixel phones have an automatic "Astrophotography mode". Basically, it's the same as Night Mode but the phone can sense that it is being held on a tripod and switches to it. It then takes a supposed 4 minute exposure which is actually sixteen separate 15 second exposures that are then stacked to prevent the moon and stars from streaking due to the earth's rotation.

Attached is my first attempt at astrophotography using the Pixel phone in the Galloway forest a couple of weeks ago.

I'm frequently "impressed" by the quality of photos taken by my Pixel smartphone, but rarely "proud" of them as they haven't required the same amount of input and creative control that "proper" cameras (and previous generation smartphones) entail.

The creativity is in the composition not the technical aspects.
Otherwise we wouldn't have the ability to change lenses, change ISO or aperture. In days gone, photographers used to choose the film brand based on colour hues.
I'd be very 'proud' of the photo above... it tells a story & is a great record of your night's pitch.

Some of Porto.
Love the place. So much so going back tomorrow. They do like cobbled street or two don't they.
Multi story car park in the centre 5 hours €3.40, can live with that. But would have been free had one rode in on a cycle.;)
We went to Braga first for a couple of hours. Ok but not worth diverting for. No issues being in the car;);)

Drove to Averio today. Nice place worth a couple of hours.
Then back to Porto. God we do like Porto.
Had one of the best meals ever right on the river bank in one of the resturants almost under "The Bridge". Sorry don't know the price.
Off to Coimbra tomorrow.
1st 2 and last pic is Averio
A really pleasant 17/18c today.
