Found a bar in Palencia, well actualy found hundreds but I've got a poor foot, and most likely gout. Quite painful too, so have to limit the length of my walking.
We're above 10 degrees too.

Right you lot listen up, this for some of you is going to be educational. Pigs! Yes I mean pigs, cause I'm in a pig of a bar and have the low down. 1 to 3 years to cure and the good stuff is 45 euros a kilo. These legs are about 8 kilos each. The white cups below are to catch fat. Enjoy cause I'm going to give you more info on Pigs.
I know all this as I have the lugging bar to myself.

One of my favourite films, Snatch. Many stars including Brad Pitt who does a better Itinerant accent than a Itinerant.

La Yesa Peter, a great stop over and there's another great one a short distance away that we have had to bypass to the weather. Both in camper contact with high ratings. Yesterday we decided to make a bolt for it, we were going stir crazy and bypassed some planned stops and drove to Medinaceli, a must see place on top of a hill with a free Aire, stunning views and they redirected the motorhomes onto the nearby football pitch while upgrading the parking facilities. Tiny place, has bars restaraunts, historical buildings tourist information and breath taking views. This morning we made a move to Palencia. We were here in January, cheap fuel and a free Aire which is arguably the best in Spain. Free, lecce, washing machine, hot showers and within walking distance of the town. The fuel has now increased substaintialy, from 1.14 to 1.27 so beware if you come here, although not obliged to use fuel station. We see blue skies f
I remember a thread about Palencia, was it started by @BreweryDave ?
Does that mean you are on your way back? We are heading South slowly through the West side of France, because the weather was much better there over Easter than in Spain. Not sure when we will cross into Spain, but our paths may cross in the next week or two and maybe meet up

Yes, we are heading home after 4 months away. Our plans are a bit fluid (!!!!!!) at the moment due to the weather and we expect to be mooching up to the Irun boarder in the next 6 days or so. We would welcome your company again but unable to predict where we will be as I aim to explore places from here on up we have not seen before and reliant on free WiFi. Safe travels.

Wow! What a place. Free Aire with all facilities too right in the middle of Spain's biggest wine region. A tiny town and a must visit place. Closed up due to Easter but I have found a bar that is open and sampling some very good cheap wine. Elciego. Cheers Mr dears.

Arrived at Victoria- Gaztiez Aire just as the market was packing up. Great timing, quick shop and into nearest bar. My foot is causing me to restrict my walking activity a tad so found several bars adjacent to Aire. Won't be doing too much here today and tomorrow we will go to Onati and then escape Spain the following day. Really enjoyed working my way through middle Spain and have found some great free places to stay and have missed out a few due to the weather. We will keep these on our radar. Aire in Vitoria rammed.

Hi Dave, how are you and Maggie?

Is that the place that @BreweryDave has dumped his old caravan?

May be down that way in a week or two. Do they have any places available?

Onati ! Wow what a place, very senic drive getting here and an Aire with what must be one of the best backdrops in Northern Spain. The town is amazingly beautiful and although small has so much to see. Our last stopover in Spain. Up to Irun tomorrow for some not so cheap now, cheap fuel then into France.

We must have passed.

We are now at Palencia and can see why everybody likes the Aire so much. Cleanest toilets I have ever seen on campsite or Aire. Lovely short walk into town and the fair is in the park we walk through. So walking back we could not resist a bag of their freshly fried Churros. Just need to find your one euro bar.

The only trouble is the bitterly cold wind and dodging the showers.
