How can you justify this sort of pricing, really taking the pee.

Absolutely bonkers pricing, especially when there are campsites with full facilities and CL's charging less in the vicinity of the ones shown in Northumberland. Hopefully this enterprise won't push up campsite prices!!

Wow! Some of the locations did look good. But £50 per night!

Wow!. This could be a really big threat to wild camping if landowners get the idea that those sort of prices are the going rate.

The one I found was £25 per night up a stony track to a grass patch . no facilities ,just grass.
I don't think there will be many takers.

You did well the one I looked at was £100 per night.
They only appear to be in the north east hate to think what the prices would be in the south.

Had a look at a couple , quite like the idea but not the price 😳

interestingly but not surprising on the two I looked at, one £50 the other £100 a night, neither have any bookings 🤔

Don’t bank on it …. You’ll be surprised what some will pay..

Northumberland is a beautiful county, born and lived here all my life, there are some wonderful wilding spots. Even the coastal councils are coming round to allow overnighting for Motorhomes in some of their large prime location car parks for a small charge realising the benefits it brings in revenues to local economies many of which rely on tourism. But £50 to £100 per night with limited or no facilities is jumping on the staycation bandwagon and taking it to extremes. I sincerely hope it fails.

Motorhomeing, to my mind is splitting into two, on the one hand you have all the 100 grand new motorhomes who seem to think you have to pay big numbers for a site, while on the other hand you have the self builds and old camper vans who try their hardest to camp for free.
Now, the top end is going to keep getting dearer , same as everything else , supply and demand, if they keep adding a few pounds they will keep getting folks who have never known any difference.
But, the problem is going to be for people who just can't afford these prices, because as in this op, even wild camping is going to be stamped out or big charges attached.
Even in France where it has always been free or a couple of quid it's getting eroded by this camping carpark thing.
Just my take on it, hope it doesn't come about, but £100 to park in a field would be a joke if we hadn't just seen it.

Yes next door to the C and CC club site! with a footpath to the beach running through it!
Now if you wanted to think of theorys is this the CCC charging this price just to get you signed up with them

A really great idea, good for them. If you don't want to pay the money you don't need to book. Can see it would hack those looking for free camping but for those that want an exclusive location rather than a campsite bring it on. Like to know if this is for A class as well as small smaller units as access will be a potential issue.

If this was posted on Apr 1st I would've thought it as a joke. No way would I pay to wild.

As the prices are from £25 to £100 a night I guess it's the land owner who sets the price

Completely agree, if its a truly great location then yes we would consider it.

I really don't get this clamour for " facilities". Our facilities are much better than many public ones and are conveniently located between the bedroom and Breakfast.

Yeah it's not wild camping in any form, it's just another farmer or other landowners opening a field.
If it really is a wild camping spot , it would p...the ones off who had paid if someone else just came and parked by them ,proper wilding.

Dick Turpin comes to mind

chaser , there is many people with 100k MoHo’s that are FLT’S (me inc)

good on them , they are supplying a individual product at a PRICE , it will suit a few

I doubt their business plan will affect us in anyway
