Where's my data gone ? (1 Viewer)

Mifi with 3 12 GB data only sim, hardly used, showing 3.5 GB used last week then turned off until today.
Now it won't connect, looks like all data used !
Must be auto updates or something.
Can anyone tell me what I need to disable to prevent this please.
It's an android phone.
I looked in settings and couldn't find anything obvious.

If it’s been turned off I’d be more likely to think you are in an area that doesn’t have WiFi cover with your sim provider.

If you go into the Play Store App, choose the menu (top left), and go to settings, you can turn off "Auto Updates".
I think there may also be an otpion to choose when to update, ie, I have updates pending, but have chosen not to just yet.

Good lord that's some update data ?.
Even new phone software update and all app optimisations wouldn't use that much ?

Funny you should ask at this time our 3 with legs just lost 4 gb over night,
We are not big users but 4 gb when we went to bed then 85 mb next morning no explanation? This only happened this week.

Thanks guys, I think I may not have reset it straight away when I put the new SIM in so may not have lost as much as I first thought. But we have lost a chunk of data somewhere.
I'd probably loose the will to live if I tried phoning 3 to ask, so I'll forget about it and put a new SIM in

One of earlier trips to France we bought 8Gb on arrival, all gone next day ? but we had bought 2 cards, put second in mifi and monitored use

Inside an hour 1Gb had gone, then started reviewing what we had open

Turned out it was our home security, we had both looked at cameras at home and not realised that although we moved off the site it stays open until closed, effectively streaming 6 videos simultaneously , each

We are much more careful now, although also have much more data available each now it is relatively cheap

My recent Android 9 update was 3.8gb, had updates over 4gb when I had the dreaded iPhone.
