We are just enjoying a couple of week’s holiday in China.

Saw one (local) motorhome near Xi’an.

Made me think what the furthest anyone had taken their van was. Anyone mad enough to try the Silk Road?

Not us but we did see and spoke to a couple with a motorhome you had driven from china to london

Once met a French couple on a Baltic ferry who had driven to Beijing and back via St Petersburg, Moscow, all along the Silk Road on a figure of eight route, there and back. They went as part of a rally.

Croatia is the furthest I've been but in Slovenia I met a Chinese family with two small children who'd pulled a caravan all the way from China to Slovenia.
Not sure where his final destination was to be as he'd damaged his car and was a bit distracted and stressed by that when we were chatting.

Vertically or horizontally?

Might be in the same party as a uk Motorhomer as in a letter in issue 224 of Practical Motorhome , signs as Mike Annan. Impressive succession of journeys in convoy, i don’t buy the mag as such but get it as package on Readly subscription , excellent value if you like mags.

Bought a Dodge pickup and demountable in Texas, drove up to Oklahoma, got onto Route 66, drove on it all the way to LA, then drove up to Montana, up to Alaska, back down to Montana, over to Ontario, Canada, Niagara Falls, then to Chicago to pick up the beginning of Route 66, followed that to Oklahoma, back down through Texas and shipped the outfit out of Galveston to UK. Took that outfit up to Kirknes, in Norway, on the border of Russia.

Done all the usual places inc Croatia etc... Put it like this Dillon is 4 years old and he has sniffed his way round 24 countries

Our first van this year. So far we've done about 5000 miles but the furthest we got was the Butt of Lewis. Not bad from Essex. Hoping to get passports next year...

We met a couple who had shipped their moho from Liverpool to Halifax then driven across the States and back again. An epic 4 month trip.

Gibraltar to rovaniemi in Northern Finland for me. Finland was all for a football match to, madness.

Only had my Moho 16 months and only been as far as Villach (Faakersee) Austria, twice, and done around 7200 mls in all, I need to get out more??
