Just heard this on the radio, and an interseting question...

Mine was the group Samson in 1979. The lead singer was Bruce Dickinson

Yours ?

Never bought one but did buy a T shirt a few years ago when we went to see Spamalot it said on it "I'm not dead yet".
You should have seen the looks I got in the waiting room but it gave the doctor a good laugh.

3 years of weekending with the odd month here and there.
I wish I still had the T Shirt, not that it would fit me.
It was bought on the 30th of May 1977 at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow, I was 16 years old, went with my best friend and the tickets were bought by my parents as a Christmas gift.
The band were..........Queen.

I think the first gig I bought a tee shirt for was Madness at Peel Bay (IoM) festival 2007, support group The Stranglers, not sure why we didn’t see The Who, maybe sold out. The Tee lasted until very recently, not sure why I never bought one before or since.

We were camping on the Peel Town football pitch, next to a one legged bloke with his dog and his combination, an elderly couple who had driven from the Isles of Scilly in their Morris traveller and a bloke on his Norton, which needed much kicking. Great week
