The nature reserve further along the coast in Freshfield with its red squirrels is an easy walk along paths.
Some nice shops and cafes and pub/restaurants amongst the others in Formby Village includes a "Spoons"
Also coastal path to Hightown is okay the Railway pub is good also could hop on train from there back to Formby.
Train or drive to Southport if wanting further afield.
The "Iron Men" @ Crosby easy reach from either Hall Road - Crosby or Waterloo Stations.(hard to park a MH around there)
If using trains get an "all area saver" £5.50 each and you can then travel the whole Mersey railway system for the day.

Starting tomorrow we are going to our granddaughters wedding V2

She got married on September 28th but her mum, our daughter was in ICU with Covid, so wedding V2 is a small family affair so mum can be in the V2 wedding photos.

My right hip, which i’ve had for 24 years needs replacement again been informed this morning, so now got that to look forward to not.

We should have been packing the van thursday to travel down to Folkstone at the weekend for a 90 day trip away but a MRI scan next wednesday for Prostrate cancer has put paid to that

So I hope everyone has a lovely weekend
and make the most of what you have whilst you can

So this weekend is sorting out my MiMo antenna that doesn’t work very well any more. Put new one on from S&G Leisure on top of a 3D printed stubby mast. Signal is much better. Very pleased. BUT what’s in a MiMo antenna. Not a lot it seems.

Finally got round to cleaning the roof and the rest of the MoHo...... In the middle of renovating a big house, so every minute on that at the moment....but hopefully away in a week or so, so thought better clean the dead flies off, had moss growing on top of roof

We are all...two dogs plus 3 people, off to Formby point for 2 nights! Our motorhome will think it's heading back to the dealer again . Looking forward to some nice walks along the beach...any othe local knowledge welcome!!

Home from Formby point caravan park....loved the peace and quiet! The dunes and beach were amazing for two and four legs!! Site basic but fine and a snip at £20 with ehu. The owners didn't rush us off either....3pm departure! We will be going back for sure!

Had weekend all planned out.... Nothing strenuous, Surgery for a quick check up and Flu jab, then down to diy store for my next project... sorting out some bodged work in the kitchen...

NO...... Not going to happen.... felt as rough as .....

Phoned surgery and cancelled... and been on me iron lung and sleeping most of the time...

Last few days, felt brilliant.... today shite...

I need an Oliday....

On our way back tomorrow to plague island via the tunnel. We've had a fabulous 6 weeks in beautiful northern France..as always such an easy country to travel around and camp, surely a mecca for Motorhomes in our humble opinion. Will truly miss the coffee, croissant , bread and the wonderful landscapes. Still l guess the best cure is to look ahead ready to book the next trip.

Done a few hrs overtime this morning, off to do food shop. Pick up Smileo from storage, empty him out as having 3rd hab check and a few minor faults sorted.
Son and girlfriend round for tea - Chinese banquet as she a fussy bugger, only likes chicken

A few other motorhomes here, they have designated motorhome spaces. Saw Andy Fairweather Lowe in Settle last night! 70+ and still rocking.

BTW we tried swimming pool first but car park all under construction so came here although S4S says not suitable for larger motorhomes.we found a good spot at 9m and even managed to get the slide out extended

After a long time it seems away Frome it I have been preparing the cadets for remembrance Day.
Last weekend we had a sleep over weekend. Night exercise lots of fun and a bit of drill.
From the company commander lots of Sargent's to do that sort of thing.
You would be right reason I gave drill instruction because I can I am the boss and love it
