Hi, I am new to motorhoming and am trying to get a way of not holding the hose down the water intake. I bought a HEOSolution adapter but that has 3 pins, my cap has 2 notches. Does anyone know either where I can get a 2 pin cap or have a solution to not having to hold the hose while filling?

Did it come with changeable rings / seals?

I have one (Might be a different make) works really well, saves standing there when filling and you know its secure

Edit - Could you cut one of the pins off?, its not like you want a complete seal, just to hold the hose in place??

The pins are on the outside of the one I have

Thanks but that one also has the 3 prongs on the outside. Will try and find one matching mine.

Would this one do.

Will have to do some measurements, otherwise I could have quite a few non fitting spares. Need a shop the actually opens in the south east / sussex.

Some years ago I bought a 'universal' HEOS filler cap, but apparently my Hymer was in a parallel universe so it did not fit - designed for 3 lugs, not 2. They sold a filler cap for Hymer that had 2 lugs, so I bought one of those as well, and it works fine.

Looking at the ad for the latest offering, they supply one cap with several adaptors, but it's not clear to me that it would fit a 2-lug fitting.

The other 2 bits just seem to adjust the size of the 3 lugs, i.e. to make the hole smaller from the outside.

Someone on here prints them, can't remember his name tho

Hi ps9786
PaulandChrissy here.
I haven’t made a water hose filler Bung for that type yet. BUT. If you sent me your filler cap, I can design one that would fit for you. Only thing is I’m away till the middle of July. More than willing to make you one if you can wait till then.

Cheers PaulandChrissy

If I tried that with my luck the rubber band would break and I'd get an early bath!

Cable tie with the end cut off?

Just put it 2 inches from the end of the hose and cut enough off so that the remaining stub keeps the hose in.

Thank you, I may do that over the winter.

Never knew they made such things. Only yesterday I filled my shoes after the hose got a mind of its own....
Does anyone know which one would fit a 2016 AutoTrail Apache filler please ?
🤔

Have you got a picture of your cap, and the internal diameter.
