    At 3.40pm I set off.

    Empty black...

    Empty grey...

    Full water...

    Full fridge...

    Full diesel.

    Yipppppeeeeeeee.

Set Tommy TomTom to avoid dual carriageways and off I went.

Over hills, down valleys, around mountains and through towns and villages. Superb scenery and, of course, sunshine all the way.

    Brilliant.

To give an idea of my pace... seven hours of meandering with a huge, ear to ear grin all the way... all 240 kms of it.

Now within 30kms of the Portuguese/Spanish border at Vilar Formoso.

    Motorhoming ROOLS.

    JJ

PS. I switched off the cricket when the Aussies started knocking it all over the place... guess my joy on just learning the end of play score...:thumb:

Because the Old Girl won't go any faster on the big roads.... so what's the point paying or having big roads and lots of traffic (and Portuguese Lorries are a bit sticky when behind you .. not funny at all!) when you can add a nice scenery? ....

We'll set Tommy tomtom just the same when in France ...except that I (and my beautiful rude language:winky:)will deal with the bad drivers.... :roflmto::roflmto:

    Amicalement

Also my TomTom maps don't have the NEW electronic toll roads registered as tolls... the maps only have the original, manned toll roads on them.

When in Spain and France we can simply put in no toll roads... (except for the southern bit of the N10!)

Woke up at 6 am Sunday morning still in Spain ( motorway service area) to the dulcet sounds of a petrol strimmer with a hedge trimming attachment.

Never mind... it was a "sign" that I should make an early start...

Arrived at my Princess' s pad at 7.15 pm (ish)

1243 kms from the Studio at Ansiao...

Have to shower now... it has been a really, really hot driving day...

    JJ

PS... I love the beautiful colour scheme... especially for me!

And whilst in there Frankie decided the best thing would be to set fire to your underwear.

    Good move.
