We are in the middle of the Forest of Paimpont... a mystical place frequented by King Arthur, Sir Lancelot and Merlin.

Believe it or not but we turned down the chance of joining fellow free loading, lowlife, off siters on the local aire (tables and chairs out etc) and opted for the municipal run, pay for, parking site on the other side of the footy field...

All a question of space...

Here there is plenty of it.

78 (ish) where the 90kph drops down to 70kph at a turn off...

I know I shouldn't be but I am quite proud of our old Hymer... :Blush:

As with the parking ticket in the Worcester (half empty) carpark if they get the fines sent to me in Portugal I will consider paying them...

After a rainy night in Richelieu and rain all the way to where we are now (near Cahors) we thought something must be wrong...

...the we learn the Soggies are not far away...


Windscreen wipers broken again... won't switch off... have applied Jaws' miracle fluid to the suspect connector and hope it is ok in the morning.

Mind you... with the Soggies around we might not need to switch them off...

C'est fini ......

My Prince has just gone.... On his way to Portugal now

He was very sad and looked so upset ...he's not gonna have any internet for 2 days!!! Mind you, leaving me didn't help!!

We had a real good time. I think we enjoyed it all !
The travel by itself , the different places we've been to, all the people we met and probably even more the last week: chilling and taking our time, visiting, sometimes wilding and sometimes.....shhhhh don't tell anyone, sometimes settling in a campsite ....
JJ had a lot of driving though as I could not help (My licence doesn't take the over 3,5t).

JJ enjoyed cooking , I enjoyed eating! We had a few fights as to who was going to do the washing up....I won twice BUT I managed to tidy a bit , didn't last long though, but kept trying each time he was out of the van .

I've been looking for him all the time in Malvern.... while he was enjoying to hide from me (cheeky monkey!).

We had some more fights whatever the subject (my mum told me , it keeps the blood flushing :Blush ...

He took a long time posting every day , I never (no no , not me being more reasonnble... just could not connect:Angryand I took a long time ...in the bathroom!

One in all we have coped one more time to get apart before killing each other ! Not too bad hey?

Too tired for a proper post but the Malvern adventure is almost over.

I am back in Portugal in a satisfactory layby far enough away from Spain to connect to a Portuguese mast...now back online after what seems like an age in the darkness...

Last night stopped very near St Jean de Luz... if the photos load you might get an idea of why I avoid packed aires...

Good to see my Princess is bringing up one of her young clients properly...

Strangely a passing motorist pulled up at 5.30am, got out, banged on the van and then drove off again! There will be a reason... but I don't know what it was...

The Malvern adventure ended at 5.50pm when the Hymer came to rest at QMJ just by the pear tree (bearing fruit).

I had an excellent, gentle drive today and stopped for a late lunch at a restaurant I have passed by many times in the past. Just 50kms from QMJ.

Now some rest and relaxation as I wander around in my new boots and hat...

Glad you had a good trip JJ, and how did the GiffGaff SIM behave? Just interested.

You may see us earlier next year if you let us know how to get to you. Not sure of our plans yet but Portugal will difinately be on our plans so after Xmas we will head your way - if you are at home.

I kept meaning to phone you, both to thank you for your help and report on the GiffGaff card you so kindly arranged.

It worked perfectly except for one thing which, had I known about it, would have led me to buy a different "Goody Bag". If you choose an "unlimited" package you can't tether other phones to yours so Frankie had to get a separate deal... with a set gigabyte package you can tether...

But other than that... GiffGaff rools...

I guess the SIM is now useless... or can I reactivate it when I spend a weekend in London late November/early December?

You could always send a text now and then to keep it live
If their is credit on it

And keep visiting the giffgaff site answer a few questions on the forum
To keep it live

Just checked my data sim not used for a good while
Had 30 p on it for ages put it in my ipad
And run the credit off
And they still say I have 10 p payback to come
