Really strange weather here last night, the sky turned browny orange and light rain, this morning nearly everyone has been trying to clean an orange powder that turns to mud when wet, from there MH's awnings etc.

Happens every couple of years around the Almeria area - usually after they have just painted (white) all the outside of my friend's villa!

And I can tell you that the Spanish version of Snowcem is not much cheaper than it is here ......

This is my table at Villasol this morning. Many campers are still cleaning their motorhomes and caravans. I'm drinking beer! Well it will rain at some point I guess.

Happened twice while I lived in Cyprus. Weird as it was hot but you couldn't see the sun, really eery.
The "fog" had a red tinge to it and after a couple of days it rained, dumping red sand from Egypt/Libya in the pool, on the car I.e everywhere. Don't remember any warnings re health though. Kids still went out in playground at school.

I'm in Wiltshire at the moment and there's a grey haze, which to me has a slight coal-dust smell.

We were living in Lanzarote a few years ago when they had their usual blast from the Sahara just as I had finished varnishing the exterior wood on a villa Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

Trust me you will wish you had washed it off when the sun bakes it on. The stuff sets like concrete and you cant get it off. I started at 10 oclock this morning and have just finished. Camper, car, 2 scooters , table and chairs. Am off for a well earned beer now.
