I did the same 8 years ago, but returned back to business as I couldn't hack not working. Enjoying extended trips away in the MH now though......

If you book Sunday evening ferry, you land Tuesday 7.30 am refreshed. If you ask on booking and arrival, they can put you on electric hook up, but you may need 2 pin adapter.
Great if you have stuff in fridge and freezer.

I thought so too.
Retired off to our home in Spain, but I need to be busy and for me that is work. I've always enjoyed work, was never a chore and unfortunately retirement wasn't just for me.... Not yet anyway. I'm still only 48, so maybe in 10 years or so.
But everyone is different, do what suits you and makes you happy... but most of all enjoy it.
