Well we are REALLY miffed we set off North Friday 16th. hadn't got more than 50 miles and the heavens opened and continued to deluge until we gave up trying to get to Boulogne to stay for 2 nights
So after a night at the Aire Du Baie de la Somme we got to Chateau du Gandspette the surface water meant that in some areas we were slowed down to 50kmph just to be able to see
though I can smile now but we arrived at the Baie de la Somme I was absolutely SHATTERED

AND we missed the Hawaiian night too
Good to see you all enjoyed yourselves as usual

Can't wait to meet some of you lot again and we may have OUR motorhome by then

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Graham and Jean @JaG for organising the Twin Lakes meet. Lovely place, great company and of course it was FUN!!

Now on our way to Croatia via Italy and Slovenia. Parked up tonight at 'Lac de Sechemailles' not far from Ussel.

We stopped there on our way to twin lakes,

We saw these little voles ,up at top of tree's by the field before the lake

The bourne there is free water & free electricity, that's why we parked near to it.

We are sat on the Aires in Blaye, and just before we go out and find a restaurant to eat in and spend €8 on a bottle of wine (the Aires pay machine was broken - result! ) I just thought I'd say a huge thank you to Jean and Graham and Pat and Trish for a wonderful week spent at Twin Lakes. What a party it was from start to finish! Sunshine, cheese, wine, Chinese raffles, quizzes, Mr and Mrs (fishing rod my arse....) dancing, hog roasts, hawaiian evening with some decidedly dodgy outfits from our van..... And I hope I didn't upset too many non uke lovers with my 'musical' endeavours!

Thanks to Graham @Graham and Jane for unfailingly capturing every song, dance and embarrassing moment, and then spending hours trying to download it onto You Tube amongst other places!

Thanks to George and Tim @Ali n Tim for toffee/werthers/Mars bar vodkas.

The company was brilliant - too many to mention - but a special mention to Paul and Jacs @Popeye, our lovely neighbours.

Bring on next year's Twin Lakes - and I agree with you Jean, the men should wear the high heels xx

Can you pass on our thanks to Gary for a lovely stay - we didn't manage to find him to say thanks before we left.

We had a blast - so in true 'Hitch hikers' style.....

KEVAN is here after that date. Everyone else will be gone, unless of course others come in the meantime.
The special rate ends on 26th, after which it reverts to standard rate of 20E a night.

despite my wife's illness we enjoyed meeting you all and while being stuck in the van most of the time just listening to the music and folks enjoying themselves cheered us up.
