SCHOOL’S OUT!
ADULT ONLY RALLY
AT AVON BANK MEADOWS
WYRE PIDDLE , PERSHORE, WORCS.
19TH JULY - 26TH JULY 2024 (incl.) 7nt Rally

Bookings will be accepted for this Rally at 7.00pm onwards on Sunday 28th January.

EHU Pitches are £18.

THE ATTENDANCE LIST IS 'FULL'. WE ARE TAKING NAMES
FOR A RESERVE LIST

For those of you that have been to Avon Bank Meadows before, you will know that the site is in an idyllic spot beside the navigable River Avon.
The downside is that the river can flood!. We ‘lost’ the Easter Rally in 2023 and 2024 Grrr! to flooding and it occurred that if that happens again this year that would be two opportunities lost to visit this lovely site and area.

So, this year, we have a cunning plan. We have booked the site for the first week of the main school holidays (In England).
However, this rally will be ‘Adults Only’. So, if you want a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings during the main holiday season, this is the place for you.
If you wish to attend this rally, all you have to do is post up on this thread, AFTER 7.00PM SUNDAY 28th JANUARY 2024 please, something like, ‘I’d like to come.’ No more is needed.

Please read the below information.

For reasons of safety, this Rally is ‘Adults Only’ We have no objections to children visiting for the day.
We cannot accept bookings from ‘Third Parties’. Each Funster will have to make their own booking.

Location: Avon Bank Meadows Campsite, Mill Lane, Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire. WR10 2JF
This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club CL. with a Rally field. The field has EHU and an aerial socket for all. (TV reception without this is not the best).

Avon Bank was awarded the Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year 2018.
It's beside the River Avon which is navigable. Fishing/ boating/kayaking/canoeing are allowed from the site.
It can be seen that the space available for this event could be described as 'compact and bijoux'. I reluctantly therefore have to restrict attendees to PVC, Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s

The event starts at 2pm on Friday 19th July finishing at 10.30am Friday 26th July
N.B. The original times have been changed to those shown

EHU Pitches are £18.
We will accept booking of 4 nights or more.

The Deposit this Year is £20 (non refundable) to be paid by 10th Mar.
The Final Payment to be paid by 16th June.
I will send to those Funsters wishing to attend a Conversation informing them of our Banking details for you to send Deposit money when their name goes on ‘The List.’ NB When you send the money, use your Funster Name as a Reference. I will than be able to acknowledge your payment

Any units arriving outside of the start and finish days can only arrive From 12.30 hrs and depart no later the 11.30 (There are other CL/CS’s on the road which is narrow in places)

Wyre Piddle is within easy walking distance, where there are buses to nearby towns.
Pershore is a flat, pleasant, one mile walk through meadows. Pershore has an ASDA and numerous shops, bars and cafes.

Facilities: Although a basic site, Avon Bank has EHU for each attendee, TV Aerial sockets, and there are several water taps around the site. There are laundry facilities.
Access: Double gates from Mill Lane directly into Wyre Boatyard. Gravel driveway leading to the Field.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome. They must be on leads or tethered on the field. There is ample provision for exercise off the site.
Generators: As there is the availability of EHU for all, No generators will be accepted.
Pop up Gazebos. These will be accepted,

No ground sheets to be deployed.

Hi, what maximum length can you accommodate?

Adults, based on your safety comments I guess you mean of an age that isn't going to end up in the river?

Cheers.

Thank you for your enquiry.
As per the OP,
" I reluctantly therefore have to restrict attendees to Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s"

An 'Adult' has reached the age of majority and the reasoning is because of safety.
I appreciate that some children can swim but this restriction is not subject of discussion.

8.5m is fine.

An adult is 16yrs of age.
Whilst I appreciate your comments, the restriction is not there purely as a safety
measure towards the child. It is also there to allow other persons on the
site to not have to think or worry about the safety of others.

Looking at your Avatar I note your unit is a converted Commercial vehicle.
This is neither a coachbuilt or A Class motorhome. Please confirm. The
reason I do not accept RV's is based not only on weight but also on width.

Same width as the last Hymer I looked at - 2.35m 🤷‍♂️

Can I thank everyone for making the Admin of this Rally
almost? painless tonight.

If I've got your details wrong please let me know? I will be asking later for Reg. No. and some
similar such stuff but we'll leave that for the Conversation I will send you all before the Deposit is due in March.
That way, we're not broadcasting it to the nation.

Regards

Derek
