Hi to all, we are new to motor homes and have just bought a R vision trail Are 10 metres. we have brought it down to Lezignan in France and still trying to find our way around it so maybe like other new members we may have a few questions from the more experienced members. Glad to be here.

Now there's a question I don't get asked everyday lol.

It does take some getting used to. More noticeable if you've only driven a car sized vehicle before. Your in the best place to be practicing with it and not on the mad UK roads where no one seems to have consideration for any one else.

Ours is a C Class, so looks more like a standard motorhome. I find this catches other drivers out sometimes as they come towards you then at the last minute realise your as wide as an artic.

Yes, once you've knocked both mirrors off.
it's a similar in size to an Euro box with mirrors

We've owned 3 RVs although got a European currently. You'll get used to the size eventually. One thing for sure you're gonna have lots of adventures and lots of great stories as owning an RV is never boring.

Welcome and as everyone says you will get used to the size of the RV. This is our first RV and we only had caravans before this so quite a leap. Had it 2 years now and still love it. The extra internal space is brilliant on a cold winters day in the UK.

you're ok in France but it takes a while longer to get used to sitting on the wrong side in the UK

Yes, eventually it will shrink around you and you'll hardly notice you're the widest thing on the road. It takes a few miles though, so get her out and use her

Only just the first part from le Harvey was the worst getting used to the width was difficult but now overtaking ok. Cheers for all you help. Oh yea good job Sheila wasn't with me this time in the cab I meen.

I believe you have to learn to be a little selfish!! When driving if in doubt do things slower don't ever think you need rush because of others around you.
