Rooney (the fawn Pug) had been off his food for the weekend and didn't seem well, not his usual boisterous self.
Took him to the vets this morning, after checks and an xray the vet had to operate to find out what was wrong.
Turns out he had inoperable tumors in his digestive system, he wont be coming home.
Ronnie is looking very lost without him.
The picture shows how they usually are together, from separate litters and Ronnie is 3 days older, never been apart in the 8 and a half years we have had them.

:(

It's like when we lost one of our cats last March.

Her sister is still looking for her

Amazing just how much Joy do these wonderful pets bring us, and how much sadness when they go.

Keep yer Pecker up!

Ronnie has followed me around all day looking lost.
At this time of the night the dogs race to their bed and get a dog biscuit as a goodnight treat, they then don't move till i come down in the morning, no matter how many times i go in the kitchen.
She has gone to her bed and had a biscuit but whenever i go in their she jumps up and comes to me, doesn't look as though she is going to settle down, she is missing him being curled up next to her.

They really do leave a mark when they're here and an even bigger one when they're gone. Know how you feel. :(

That's a good idea.

My surviving cat snuggled up to a toy monkey for a week or two when her sister died.

I am sure Ronnie will settle down soon.
