Well, it's done, I officially retire on the 24th April.

Ditto, first day not working 1.1.2018, spending time sorting out house etc..., new van in June, off in September for extended trip(s). All good so far (3 weeks) but there are moments when you think what should I be doing, it will take awhile to get used to the time available to do what we want. Can't remember having this sort of freedom before , like the idea of volunteering as it will feel like we are making a contribution but for this year will not rush it anything.We've just done the same....finished on 31/12/17! Still can't really believe it yet, spending a few months bringing the house up to scratch and pick up our van in March then let the fun begin!! We're a little older than you guys and not as financial secure as you sound to be but, as they say 'life's too short'. Have a great rest of your lives.
